I did not apply to this college directly. I got admission through JoSAA counselling based on my JEE Main rank. During the counselling process, I filled my choices carefully, and this college was among my preferred options. I chose this college mainly because of its good campus infrastructure, strong NIRF ranking, and consistent placement records. Compared to other colleges available at my rank, this institute offered a better balance of academics, facilities, and career opportunities. The faculty quality, alumni network, and overall academic environment were also important factors in my decision. I get this college after qualifying jee mains exam through josaa counselling. I want NIT Durgapur but I miss out by only 1500 rank . Before NIT Silchar I get NIT patna civil engineering in first round of counselling but due to better placement stat and campus I choose this one . My admission process is very smooth where the help desk counter and senior help new comer. On my admission day I also get my scholarship id i.e, roll no. I choose this college because I am interested in electronics or circuital branch . I applied in other colleges but I was not getting electronics branch so I preferred this as best choice. One of the main reason for choosing this course is that I got to know from some of my known seniors who is final year student of this college and they also suggest me to take this course. I chose this college as NIT Silchar is an allrounder package, you want academics? Done! Fest? Done!! Every wing is awesome. From the very first being in my home state, it was the best college I can opt for after IIT Guwahati. I did got offers from other colleges government and semi, but NITS gave me my favourite branch and secured future. This college has a great placement records in PSUs for core branches and great IT sector companies for other branches. Courae is ergonomically designed to withstand the students potential and push up to next limits. I had already taken a drop year for JEE preparation, I messed up in the drop year, wasted a lot of time, but learnt a lot too and had unique experiences. I got NIT Silchar from 1st round of JoSAA but in Civil Engg. but when I got Mechanical Engg. in the 2nd round, I quickly grabbed it and yes, it was a great decision. I selected what I got, I did want to study mechanical engineering and hence the stars aligned and I am right here, writing this review around 0100 hrs on the 25th of January, 2025 after practising for the 26th January Republic Day parade, just to earn some money as my wallet has become weightless.
