Remarks

Our college has all the infrastructures that a student need for basic learning but not all for a complete standardized exposure linked to our talents. The attendance weight age is quite attentively followed and students may be dropped just because of the attendance. It's quite far from here town so, usually alot of people stay in the hostel, and staying in the hostel seems to be painful since the areas adjoin the college is a highway, and we don't have access to towns and good shops nearby in order to get our need full filled. Apart from my studies I'm also having a good time with my professors.

Entrance Preview

This college is one of the most prestigious college in Nagaland. I didn't write any additional test for getting seat in this college. It was based on merit. I got a direct admission since my overall percentage was up to their mark.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I'm currently taking BA honors in history. We are often given the opportunity to go around different places for field trips in order to enhance our knowledge and polish what we have learnt from our textbooks.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is provided to only a few people including students and the stipend is up to the mark. They receive around 4000 rupees just by sitting in the library entering the data.

Placement Experience

2.5

I haven't been placed yet, but for other students who already got placed, my review on them is a positive one. The good students are the ones who get hold of all these opportunities in short.

College Events

5

The college organizes different events every year. Many visitors come to witness and our indoor stadium can take around 3500 spectators so it is all gets flocked with students and outsiders. Since this is a private University run by the Catholic Church boards, there is a financial stability which in turn provides all the necessary essentials for any events. So the events organized in this college are massive

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our free structure is quite reasonable. We pay in advance installments for three months, 3×900 = 1800.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently, the college does not provide any scholarships. No, the college does not give any assistance in getting loan schemes.

Campus Life

4.5

There is a number of curricular activities. Sports which includes, football, basketball, badminton and many other activities. The college has a massive basketball court, football ground and an indoor stadium which can accommodate around 3500 people. My college experiences will someday make me feel nostalgic, and I will reminisce all the fun that I am having right now

Hostel Facilities

2

We have 5 hostels within the campus, 2 for boys and 3 for girls. Basing on my experience, during my stay in the college hostel, we usually share our room. In a single room, there are 9 persons. We pay 2000 rupees per month, and during the time of admission they charge, rs 11000 in total. Plus, the reason behind the authorities charging less fee is because, we have to do our own jobs by cleaning the hostel areas, campuses and serve the food in turn by turn.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a very well organized alumni association which is still very active and they have an alumni association office in the college campus itself. Yes, indeed the alumni association also played a massive role in the development of the college.

Exam Structure

Nothing is pressurizing. We are given sufficient time to complete our tasks so, rush hour is non existent except, for some students who like to delay and keep their works pending.

Faculty

3.5

All the faculties are highly educated and everyone of them holds MA degree at the minimum

Course Curriculum Overview:

Ever since I was a kid I was always interested in studying history. Infact it was my favourite thing to study. I took up this course because It's fun to study history. As an aspirant taking up history helps me to be more aware of the dates and names for the competitive exams. I think there are no improvements or changes to be made in this course as the lectures teaches so well. If you are taking history as your honors then I suggest you to study everyday and not wait for the last moment as this course is very vast and not easy for one night preparation

Course Curriculum Overview:

At 11th and 12th standard i was introduced to Education subject where there were parts of Psychology and it really attracted me and also the big reason why i choose this course is because there is not much attention given to mental heath in Nagaland even tho its a serious issue here, People tend to called those mental Illness as having abnormality in the brain and lable the person with depression as fool or idiot, so just to give out a proper care for our minds i choose Psychology. As for improvements there needs to be more practical activities and by that not some paper works but more of an indepth person analysing activities, thats all and also the timings are a big problem as not enuough time leads to dissatisfaction on the paper so the timings of exam should be increased.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I myself as a students with political science as my honours. i can proudly say that political science professors are the best. The outer knowledge they impart besides our syllabus is top notch. Test and assignment are given in a such a way it is easier for us at the end of the day when we write for exams. So far i have no complaints for their course curriculum and teaching methods.

I choose this course because science and commerce are not for me. There are more than 50 teaching faculty including security, bus driver and the canteen staff. The teacher should complete their masters to teach. There is only one exam each semester but there are lots of tests.

It's packed with the best faculty and also it's the nearest college from where I stay. It has an amazing environment and noise pollution free. It's easy to find transportation also. The college has a lot of extra curriculum activities and provides even counseling. I took up Sociology because I grew up believing I would become a social worker. The college has also produced a good number of toppers and is considered one amongst the most cleanest college in Kohima.
