OVERALL DISCUSSION ABOUT THE PHARMACEUTICAL DEPARTMENT OF NSHM

BPharm is the combination of both the concepts of Biology and Chemistry and also some of Physics. So if a student loves Chemistry or Biology or both then he/she can definitely opt BPharm course. The faculty: student ratio is 0.1. Most of the faculty members are Doctorate and some of them are pursuing PhD. The term Exams are been conducted in semester mode. Questions are set by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University Of Technology. Most of the questions are moderate.

Hospital Training like in MR Bangur, Calcutta Medical College etc and Industrial Training in various pharmaceutical industries like SUNPHARMA, DR.REDDY, MACLOEDS, MANKIND, and CIPLA are offered by our college. Every student has to go for industrial training after the 6th sem exam.

From the 6th semester, students are eligible for sitting in Campus interviews. Macloeds, Sunpharma, and Dr Reddy are some renowned companies that visit regularly our college.2.5 lpa is the average salary offered by companies and 3.6 lpa is the highest package.

The Fees structure is around 52000 per semester. Financially weak students can get the Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship(SVMCM) or Asha Jyoti Scholarship. Reserve Category students can apply for the OASIS scholarship and Female students can apply for Kanyashree Scholarships.

There are various clubs and fests that are being conducted by college students. The campus life is excellent, teachers are very much supportive, so every student can get optimum academic and non-academic life balance. the are two libraries on our campus containing enough books. ANGAAN and CLC are some clubs of our college run by our own students.

For admission in the BPHARM course, we have to appear in the WBJEE exam which is a state-level entrance exam for admission in the UG course of Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture. The exam fee for this entrance exam is Rs 500 for the General category. If the PMR or Pharmacy Merit Rank in WBJEE is upto 11k then a student can pursue in BPharm course in our college through an online counselling process.
