Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because it deals with both the software and hardware world of technology. Faculty: Student ratio was 1:9. Almost all the facilities were Ph.D. holders and some were pursuing their Ph.D. There used to be 2 terms in One Semester and they were moderate - hard in difficulty.

Internships Opportunities

1

As when we were required to do an internship, there was a Covid Wave in motion. So we were made to complete our internship in online mode. So our college organized an internship program. But it wasn't great, it did not help me to get a better placement or a job. Instead, I thought completing an internship at a company would have been a lot better.

Placement Experience

2

Students of the 7th & 8th semesters were eligible for the campus placements. Mostly Startups visited the campus but some established companies like Cadence and Synopsys visited the campus and recruited 1-5 students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was an opportunity for the scholarship, but no financial assistance was provided. Neither we got the opportunity to get a campus job. The fee hike policy was not the best, as hostellers were asked for the 60. payment of the hostel fees during the times of Covid as well. Just to avail hostel facility just for 3 months.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life was alright, not the best but alright. There used to be a lot of annual fests & tech fests before Covid but after Covid, the number was reduced drastically. There were no Competitive Exam books available at the library. There were rarely any sports events on the campus. A Society for Technology Lovers was made and functioned by the students on the campus, ECE society's name was Techtronic.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

The facilities provided in the room were Good. And the meal quality and menu were also satisfactory. The registration process for the hostel was good, as we were asked to register for the upcoming year 2-3 months before the start of the new session, hence making the process hassle-free. The locality was not so great there were too many incidents taking place on campus and outside the campus.

Admission

Eligibility of the course - More than 60% in PCM or PM & CS. The application form is available online and offline. The admission test is also very basic and even I faced a short little interview as a part of the admission process.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
