What Students Say

Likes

Campus is pretty beautiful with trees on both of the road.
We can play any sport we like and join any club.
Placements are also pretty good. Students will be able to apply to any company they dreamt about.

Dislikes

Now a days we have cattle roaming around the campus
Allowing other inside too cause a little traffic.
Having mining department far away from the hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was allotted Mining Engineering in my Josaa counseling. All the faulty of the Mining Department are quite friendly and are easily approachable. Exams are dependent on the topics taught by professors. We need to gain a little extra knowledge but put in a little effort.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies give us internship opportunities through placement cell which are very useful for us to know the work life and also helps to explore other fields. Stipend is also pretty good for our internship.

Placement Experience

We are eligible for placements in the 7th semester. We have more than 1000 companies visiting our campus. The highest package last year was 2 crore and the lowest was 7.5 LPA. Almost 95% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi gives scholarship to people who has a yearly family income of less than 5 lakhs. And also provides laptops to those needy. Internship also ranged from 1,00,000 to 1,50,000.

Campus Life

4.5

We have many fests conducted. We have a sports fest, a cultural fest, and also a tech fest. We have the library and it has many varieties of books available. We have many sports with coaches allotted. And also many clubs are available.

Admission

Admission was through Josaa. I got a seat after qualifying for JEE advanced exam. ST category students have a reservation and have low cutoff then other castes. We need to clear JEE mains in order to write JEE advanced exam.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

In terms of placement IIT bhu rank is now 2 after IIT kanpur that's one of the reason to choose it. Now I tell u about my admission process all the students alloted a date to submit documents and for hostel verification . Then on that day the allot us hostel room to stay. Then all students of different branches alloted different places to go and submit documents we go there and submit documents after a rush. Then they give us college id card with college stamp.
