What Students Say

Likes

Teaching facilities is very good with all subjects and respective laboratories. Hostel life is also very good.
Different clubs are there for extra curricular activities .
Ragging is strictly prohibited in this college. Seniors are very caring and supportive.

Dislikes

Hostel placements is not enough which is the main reason people see in the college. Avg package is around 3.5 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview

I have got admission at PMEC in computer science branch and i choose it as it is the most demanding branch nowadays and i personally liked it. Quality of teaching is very good . Most teachers have completed their degrees in reputed college like NITs .

Internships Opportunities

Currently i am in second year in this college so i don't have experience about interships and students get this year, but as per my knowledge seniors work in different projects from 6th semester and most of them get placed in new startup companies

Placement Experience

If students have excellent skills for required interships, they can get internships from 5th semester. Tata company visits every year and hire around 12-15 students with a package of 6 LPA . Campus and placement is good but not the best. 60% students gets placed every year

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government funded institution the education fees is very low nearly around ?40000 per year. New startup companies comes for interview and give an average package of 3.5 LPA. Highest package given is 9 LPA. Affordable college fees.

Campus Life

Campus area is very large. There are different clubs for different activities in the college. Students can easily interact with the seniors about clubs and can join it. For example if students are interested in singing and to practice singing instruments they can join the Cadence Club.Annual fest is organised every . Last annual fest named ' THE EXUBERANCE ' was organised by the college.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are very good . Students will be provided necessary things to live in a room . The environment and surroundings around the hostel is pure and filled with greenery. Students can easily stay in the hostel

Admission

Parala Maharaja Engineering College is a government funded educational institution. It offers variety of courses like b.tech , m.tech , PGDCA etc . For b.tech students must have given the JEE entrance examination and qualify it with a good percentile for computer science branch. The minimum cut off percentile in JEE to enter into the college is around 50-55 percentile. All other information about college is there in PMEC website. Students can go through it for more information.

Interview Experience

For admission,students must have secured the required percentile for getting admission into the college as per your required branch. Some documents are required during the admission process like your 10th and 12th marksheet etc

Likes

The environment of KIIT is best for student as their are students from all over India you learn many things other than just your course.
The college life for the students at KIIT is awesome as the architecture of the university is designed for students to explore every possible thing required by any student.
The fest of KIIT is just best the students enjoy those days the most.

Dislikes

As for me their are no flaws that I can say I dislike in KIIT.

Placement Experience:

The placement was quite good. The one who is disciplined and willing to get placed and surely get placed and the total average was around six LPA and the highest package was 53 LPA, which was offered by the atlassian

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Likes

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

Teaching style of faculty is excellent and related to practical based

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

I applied for this college and I got confirmation for admission from this college . I choose this college over other colleges because as per my jee ranks this college was best . No I didn't get any rejection cause my 1st choice was this college. Parala Maharaja Engineering College BERHAMPUR is a very good college for B.Tech in the branch like civil and electrical. I opt for civil because I have a interest in civil engineering. The college has a better infrastructure and better faculty in civil that’s why I chose civil and this college has better infrastructure than other colleges like Indira Gandhi institute of technology Sarang. It is a better place than what I have explored in this four year of my study. The faculties of civil engineering are very good. I opt for civil in this college because of the infrastructure that is better than the other colleges. The admission here is very simple. You have to submit the documents that you had uploaded at the time of counseling. The additional factor is that the aspiring candidate must have passed 12th grade and have appeared in JEE Main exam or OJEE Exam. After this the next process involves applying for counseling of OJEE. Overview of PMEC

No I don't apply any other colleges my first preference is this college which I got admission. I choose this college because it's nearby my home town and the low price of fees structure. The admission process is through the jeemain exams and ojee exam after clearing these entrance exam and eligible for the cutoff rank u should go for online counseling which is held for approx one month and then if u get ur seat in online counseling in this college then should go for offline verification and the final process....Read More
