SBSEC COLLEGE OF DU AND AN OVERVIEW

I chose the B.Com programme as it opens up the field of commerce for me and I can get a job in most of the commerce-related fields. The faculty of my college is very good, especially the commerce faculty. Our college commerce faculty is the 2nd largest after SRCC the best commerce college in DU. The students are 50 in each class. There are 4 sections of commerce students having about 50 students each. The boys-to-girls ratio is 3:2. Most of the teachers have a PhD in their respective subjects and are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. The term exams of the first year were delayed than then when normally it used to happen due to late admissions and lengthy admission process. The exams were not that difficult. I just practised the previous year's papers and scored some decent marks.

After 4th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Detroit is the mass recruiter from our college. The average placement is 400000 annually and the highest 1s is 1400000 annually. Almost 50 per cent of students get placement. I will also sit in the placement and if I do not get a job I will apply for one in noida.

The fees of our college were increased by 3000 and there was no explanation for that. At the time of admission, we paid 11000 for 1st year and 14000 in the second year. Till now there has no internship been given by the college.

There is no annual fest in our college only, no reason is provided by the faculty for that, the library is also okay, we don't always get the books we need the most. The classrooms have lights and fans and proper desks and seating. No extracurricular activities are done by the college. Our college does not have many good clubs only one or two.

The admission process was very time-consuming the dates given by the university were always getting delayed. Too much time was wasted in the admission process. In 2022 colleges applied cuet to get admission in the colleges which was a totally new thing
