Entrance Preview
I had appeared for JEE mains and I secured 85 which was enough to get into any government college of Odisha. But I opted to go for Centurion University as all of my relatives and my seniors always talk about the positives of Centurion University. And when I came here, I really found their words true. The administration is really good. I am glad to be a part of this university.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is obviously designed in such a way that, the student never get any kind of problem if he/she changes the college in the middle of the session. The course curriculum is designed by the professors of the university who hold the maximum experience of the good college student as well as a renowned personality.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. Our college offers internship in the most reputed companies in India and in Australia as well. It has MoU with the Southern Queensland University of Australia, so it exchanges people on a regular basis for exploring the world. Recently, I am doing my automobile domain internship at TATA Motors.
Placement Experience
The college lacks a bit in placement. The students from computer science, IT, electrical get easy placements whereas the core students have to struggle for the placement. But in future, I can say the college will have a good placement record for its core students also.
College Events
The college has so many clubs to innovate. It celebrates the annual function in a heavenly atmosphere. The Gajajyoti and Shatajyoti are the two brand names for annual functions. The college organises inter college cricket, badminton, tennis, football, volleyball championship. The clubs of the college also organise various function throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for b.tech is 1 lakh per annum and the hostel and messing fees is 25,000 per semester. The fees is really very low as compared to other universities of the state or the country. The college has lowered the fees for backward categories also.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship is offered to the students who are in a need. Loan facility can be availed at any time. The college offers a huge amount of scholarship to the meritorious students,
Campus Life
The gender ratio (male to female) is 100 : 35. The workshops are the best in class. The eco-friendly campus helps the students attain the mental stability. The college has around 1400 kinds of trees inside its campus. The college takes care of the campus by creating a Green Club which comprises of some of the students who are always ready to keep the campus clean.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel never goes dark. The superintendents are friendly always. The hostel premises are always kept clean. The hostel has 100 mbps wifi connection all the day. Messing food is really good. College offers three times food in the canteen and a good cafeteria is beside to the canteen.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is really strong. The seniors have been placed in various multi national companies like Dorma, HP, Accenture. Some of the seniors are placed in Triveni Turbines, Alkraft, Western Refrigeration etc. The average cost to company here is 3.6 lakhs per annum.
Exam Structure
Exams are very often here. The students have to face 3 internals and 1 external and 1 semester exam in each semester (5 months around). The exam results are never delayed and the students can improve their marks in the previous exams by appearing for Improvement Exams.
Admission
I had called the university for taking admission and they guided me to join this. I appeared for Centurion University Entrance Examination (CUEE) and qualified to get admission into this university. I enroll myself in the admission process and I was given a registration number for further clarifications. The admission process is not a fishy process and it is transparent.
Faculty
The faculties here are really well behaved and intelligent. They try to give their best for the students for flowering their innate potentialities. The faculties are from IIT,NIT and other reputed colleges from India and abroad. The faculties here never demotivate people for not getting good marks in their exams, rather they motive them to achieve their best in next exam.
