- Interactive and friendly nature of few seniors and clubs will help very much in academics
Dislikes
- Ragging in this college happens and it's better if you maintain a good contact with some seniors to be safe from some toxic ones
- The mess food here is not so tasty and if it's veg mess it's mostly aloo everyday
- Campus is easily accessible for trains and doesn't have flight connectivity
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course cause because this was the best option I had for my rank,I think so because of this college's ranking and average package and course which I got (c.s.e). Faculty to student ratio in this college is 1:21 the faculty here are very much qualified and friendly u can get your doubts solved there is no issue in that. In every 4 months there will be an endsem exam and every 2 months there will be a midsem exam
Internships Opportunities
The clubs here at IIT ISM Dhanbad provide you very much knowledge about internship and skills you require for it and you often get the mails regarding internships you need to be skilled and check the college mail regularly not to miss an opportunity
Placement Experience
The campus placements here at IIT dhanbad are very good it has a very good average package and even students with cgpa of around 5 and 6 have got a package of 30-50 lpa. You can get all the data about college placement in IIT dhanbad website or on google
Fees and Financial Aid
As I have already mentioned the full fee for college. You can fee waivers or merit scholarships from the college side based on your income and merit for scholarship. The college even provides many other scholarship which u can apply
Campus Life
The college has 3 fests in a year but the official ones are only two one is srijan conducted in the month of February (annual fest). Concetto ( annual techfest) conducted in the month of October. The college has Asia's 2nd largest library. The clubs, college life and sports at the college are very excellent
Hostel Facilities
For freshers for our batch and mostly for upcoming batches Amber hostel will be provided which is not so good. You will get a small room of double occupancy and one table and one cupboard. The mess menu here looks good as it has non veg in 5days of a week but the taste is not so good as it doesn't have much spices in it. But the meal is healthy. You will be allotted a hostel room on the same day of physical registration
Admission
I took admission into the institute by clearing jee advanced examination in the year 2023 for my course computer science and engineering the cutoff rank was 1190 in OBC and in general category the cutoff rank was 3258. All the details regarding application form, application fees and dates will be given in the josaa website and official IIT(ISM) Dhanbad website. The admission process is kind of irritating because the registration site gets stuck due to many persons trying at a time. And you need to stand in a very big line during the physical registration in the college
