- One of the most important thing I like about IGNOU is there examination as the examination held twice a year and it is easy for student to do there work and study easily
- There teaching methods as sometime classes holds online and sometimes it's offline it is easy to ask doubts to teachers.
- Concepts in IGNOU is easy to learn if you are a good researcher.
Dislikes
- There contents and topics of IGNOU books are little bit old and lacks of current facts.
- Syllabus as the students have to cover all the books .
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose to do my BCOM from IGNOU because of the engagement of other professionals course and my part time work. Qualification of the faculty is in various field like there are numbers of teachers who are phd's in there professional carriers and there teaching methods are better because of there knowledge of latest and current facts of the syllabus. The term end examination of IGNOU hold twice a year. One in June and one in December in every year. It is quite difficult to pass the examination because you have to do self study most of the time but if one give examination neatly they can easily pass the examination.
Fees and Financial Aid
IGNOU has different fees structures for different programmes and courses like a minimum fee in INR 2600 or the maximum of INR 70,000 for certificates, advance certificates diploma and postgraduate diplomas. For the learners belonging to reserved catogries, SC/ST fees, scholarship etc. Facilities may be provided from time to time as per the rules of the University.Students are advised to collect scholarship forms from the directorate of social welfare and from the office of the social welfare. Job and other stuff are also provided by University after completion of course.
Campus Life
As a open University it is quiet difficult for me to discuss about these questions because IGNOU is an open University sometimes classes are hold in study centres as this is quiet difficult to discuss about that because IGNOU has not there own college in our state but study centre environment is quiet good.
Admission
Elegibility criteria for BCOM course in IGNOU is that you have to pass 12th from any board in commerce stream and must have 45% and above. All the stuff related to IGNOU admission fees, application form and dates etc.are availabe on the official site of IGNOU. One can easily take admission by reading all the procesa. Not much know about this but a relaxation of 5% marks provided in the essential qualification for SC/ST candidates. That it took time for the confirmation of admission.A student has to wait for several weeks for the admission confirmation.If this system is improved then it is very good for students.
