Remarks

Our college had the best infrastructure. It had provided with good facilities to all the students. And lots of hostel around it for the students.

Entrance Preview

I gave the MHT-CET exam and scored a bit less. Based on my marks I landed up at this college. Also, I heard the college name from my seniors as it was good in that area, since it was near to my house. I chose the course because of its high scope in future.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course was good. I chose the civil branch and it had focused on the construction of buildings, bridges which we use in our day to day life. Focus on practical learning was given based on the syllabus provided by Mumbai University. No there wasn't any research initiative taken. Elective options on subjects were there at the end of course.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college did provide internships to students. We got good experience. Average stipend was around 5k. The internship did help us a lot in understanding many aspects of our subjects practically.

Placement Experience

3.5

5-6 midscale companies visited our college. 10-15% of the students from my batch got placed. Average packages were about 1.5 lakh per annum. Hence the placement scenario wasn't as expected. The turnout was low.

College Events

4.5

The festival were good. It was a 3 day event consisting of many different types of technical, sport's activities taking place. There were mostly cultural and technical festival which took place. There were many competitions held. The footfall was huge. People from different colleges did turn up for the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was very affordable. It was around sixty four thousand every year. Since it was a 4 year course, the approximate fees was around 2.7 lacs. Hence it was okay.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college did provide scholarships under the minority scholarship provided by both the state and central government. We received an amount of 15k every year. So in the 4 year course, we got back around 60k through scholarship. Other types of scholarship for deserving students were also there.

Campus Life

4

There wasn't much extracurricular activities taking place. Workshops on related subjects occasionally, some exhibitions to develop ideas were there conducted by the college which was helpful for our future plans.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No i wasnt residing in the hostel. Yes, but got to know from friends, that the rooms were good. They provided sharing rooms to students, and it was a complete students only hostel with no PGs. The facilities provided by the hostel were adequate. The payment was around 35k for a year. The food quality was okay.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni platform wasn't much up to the mark which was provided by the college. However, the alumni did help the students a lot through social media interaction and meetups. Especially for the project work, there was a lot of help provided by the alumni.

Exam Structure

There were two unit tests each term. A lab session of 1 hour was conducted every day on a particular subject. It was a mixed culture with fun and studies.

Faculty

4.5

Best faculty in the college. Every faculty had a degree in either M.Tech or ME. Some were even pursuing their PhD in their respective fields. The professors were interactive, and the standard of teaching was also good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
