What Students Say

Likes

Here we not only focus on our academic performance but also get to explore other fields like music and sports.
It's proximity with local market is another thing I like. On weekends there are many places we can go to enjoy ourselves.
Our seniors are all friendly and our campus is ragging free.

Dislikes

We have open campus so we face many problems as the outsiders can freely roam inside.
It's infrastructure is rather old so it sort of make our campus out dated
There are no ACs in classroom hence it becomes so hot in summer.

Course Curriculum Overview

Well chemical engineering dept. of IIT BHU is renowned for its upto date curriculum. Faculties are all talented and there is a separate tutorial session for those who have any doubts regarding the lectures and topics taught. There are 2 exams per semester: mid sem and end sems accompanied by quizzes.

Class Size: 170Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies which offer us jobs like Google, Facebook, reliance etc. Our college also offers funds to those who want to start their own business. There are many opportunities in both core and non core fields

Placement Experience

IITs are known for their excellent placements. Students get their internship from 3rd semester and before graduating they have jobs in their hand and those who want to opt higher studies get opportunities as well to study abroad. The overall placement percentage was around 90%. I also plan to get a job after my 4 year course completes.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well as compared to other private colleges it's fees a little bit high but it's still worth giving that much money for the facilities we get to use and the quality of teaching we get. There are many types of scholarships we are eligible to avail. Some of them are offered by institute and some by government. We can also easily get loans if we find it difficult to pay fees.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many fests like kashiyatra(cultural fest), Technex(tech fest) and spardha(sports fest). There is a student activity centre with all sort of equipments for sports. A large library and a lot of clubs which we can join fir example photography club, media club, music club, dance club, mental wellness club and fashion club and much more.

Hostel Facilities

Facilities we are provided are free wifi connection, geyser on every floor, etc. But the main problem we face in hostel is that 3 people have to share a single small room with only 2 cupboard so it sometimes cause difficulties. The quality of food we get is great and there is a large variety so we can choose what we want to eat. There are separate mess for vegitarian (satvik mess) and non vegetarian.

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

I got my admission after cracking JEE ADVANCED (only those who cleared cut off of jee mains are eligible to give jee advanced exam). It's form is filled after jee mains and it's fees is 1500. To opt for jee mains one must have more than 75% in 12th class with PCM as main subjects.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

In terms of placement IIT bhu rank is now 2 after IIT kanpur that's one of the reason to choose it. Now I tell u about my admission process all the students alloted a date to submit documents and for hostel verification . Then on that day the allot us hostel room to stay. Then all students of different branches alloted different places to go and submit documents we go there and submit documents after a rush. Then they give us college id card with college stamp.
