Remarks

College management is quite good in all the sectors present with the small team available but there is lot of opportunity for improvement. the college environment is more like a factory than a college which lack that feeling a student needs during that pa

Entrance Preview

I took up karnataka cet after my class 12 exams as gateway for engineering seats in various colleges across karnataka. Getting seat was quite easy due to the new introduction of the course. I can list down quite a lot of reasons for taking up the course, let me list down some: only college to have full access to wide variety of spm, conventional and non conventional machines unique course which is also a specialization course after mechanical engineering at bachelor level high reputation of gttc in the manufacturing industryultimately its a combination of college and industry which is quite a unique blend.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course has the same scheme as the well known university - vtu. the core subjects being press tool design, die casting design, plastic moulding and jigs - fixture design. the course keeps the right balance between theory and design.Electives were more of conventional subjects of mechanical engineering hence i would like to pass on that.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are not the common routine here, ducom instruments offered internship program. apart from that students had to apply for their internships privately.Stipends were entirely dependent on the companies applied too, most were non - stipend type.

Placement Experience

2

The organization has great relation with most psus like ada, hal, beml, nal and private companies like ge, tvs etc.All the companies listed above are customers of my college which is also an industry in the market manufacturing critical parts.Placements from the college level are too low, there is no placement cell available and the same is handled by the examination team. placements are entirely off - campus but the college has a high repute among companies in the market.

College Events

2

Two main events celebrated in the college are crickz - intra college cricket tournament and ayudha pooja as its also a manufacturing industry.Crickz calls for great fun and is a short pitch cricket tournament which is self sponsored by the students. It occurs every sem among dimloma, bachelors and masters level students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its a private college with government management and a fee structure of rs.40000/year. quite affordable and additional exam fees to be paid.Shell out some cash for the notes and additional accessories for the labs. scholarship available for category candidates.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans are entirely from the banks, no clue from the college side.Fees can be paid in two installments under request.Scholarships can be availed for category students whose parents annual income are below a certain limit, the scholarship was from a certain government dept.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is quite low here, the campus area is quite small.but the resources available here are too good and beneficial.Tech fests were zero, the platform for innovation and research is less. If you can make a good set of friends, plan for parties, outings and hangouts around bangalore.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostels are not good for staying and not in the campus. good pgs are available in rajainagar 6th block costing from 3000-4000rs with 2 meals a day. Pgs are not quite good to study, you gotta chose a good one. the one i stayed is closed now. that was quite

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is present but not well organized and maintained needs a lot of effort to improvise and arrange a meet-up. most seniors are present in great firms across the globe.

Exam Structure

The exam scheme was entirely based on the common vtu system. every semester with 1 external exams and 3 internals.Quite easy to prepare if planned well, ample time available for complete preparation if well manages 8 sems and 5 months duration per sem.

Faculty

3

The internal faculty team is quite experienced with all the persons having deep knowledge about tooling and manufacturing. Most subjects were handled by guest faculties from bit, skit, ait and other colleges. There is a lack of a large faculty team but the

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
