Campus placementa are good, but not more. Wish more companies could and recruit us. But still we have got make companies and students get placed in these company. College also provide campus placement drive pools and all.

Fees and Financial Aid

Around 10000. Per semester is the fe structure , students have benefitiaries based on their backgrounds and all . Also government and some private sectors provide financial aides for students , which provides a good pillars for students who are in need.

Campus Life

From my experience , college life was very good. Our college provide al kinds of extra curricular activities for the students . College has never failed in making students happiness. Provide college fest, sports, arts, inter college fests...tech events and all

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Government hostel facilities is poor. That host can't accommodate all hostel students in the building.. so students need to relay on private accommodations, but fortunately there good accommodation available with good food and services along a fair fee structure.

Hostel Fee: INR 4000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is qualifying the keam exam, One should have good score in keam exam to get into the government engineering colleges in Kerala. There are only three engineering colleges that provide information technology as a btech course in Kerala, and which is supported by Kerala government. One can get scholarship from government for daily needs.. which may include education fee, hostel, daily expenses etc. I have applied through online portal

Other Applied Colleges

Government Engineering College - [GECSKP] Sreekrishnapuram | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Information Technology)

One among the 3 Government college that provide information technology course.. and best

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
