Likes
- I like the campus and its environment. Teachers are really helpful. The seniors are very friendly and happy to clear your doubts. You could ask help from lab assistant whenever needed. Our labs are working from 9am -9pm daily.
- You could use lab equipments whenever necessary and for your mini projects. There is different clubs you could be member of, such as dance, music, robotics, asce, etc. Rach department conduct its own tech fest suchas pantheon for civil students.
- Tesla is department tech fest for electrical department such that each department have its own tech fest. Dhwani is the main cultural event of the college where everyone look forward to, its colourful, vibrant event which fills everyone 's heart
Dislikes
- The surrounding are not cleaned well and tofee wrappers are thrown here and there
- Trees are cut down when its really hot outside
- The shortage of water during summer is a big issue.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am studying in civil engineering.The course curriculum have been designed in such a way that its easy for students to learn and incorporate it in their daily life. Relevance: . Industry Alignment: there curriculum align with current industry trends, practices, and demands.There are opportunities for internships, co-ops, or industry partnerships to enhance practical relevance. the curriculum is regularly updated to reflect advancements in the field.new technologies weretheories, and methodologies incorporated into the coursework. the curriculum include real-world case studies, projects, or simulations to bridge theory with practice.students are encouraged to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies who provide internships with 10,000 rupees for a month. The university provide 1 month leave fot intership. Internship helps to get clear idea of how work life is and an idea of theories come into practice. It is fascinatong to do what you learn in paperscome into life.
Placement Experience
Students became eligible for campis placements on their 4th year. They are prepared for placements on 3rd year. Companies such as L&T, shobha constructions, google, abode etc visited and made offers above 3 lakhs per monthstudents having 7.5 and above are admitted for placements. The highest package is 6 lakhs. My plans after degree is to worl for an year and do masters.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am currently availing Egrantz therefore fees are being paid directly from the government. Tuition fees are sent to the account and then it is paid through Digipay. The tuition fee is 65000 per annum. Then the addition of a sports fee of 250 per year. Students belonging to SC, ST, and OBC could avail of egrantz. There are fisheries grants too. There is a prakathi scholarship for only girl child
Campus Life
My campus life is great. The campus is of a few acres having various buildings for each department. Thera are 6 departments. Each arhaving thereown department fests eachyear and also an all kerala tech fest calked Drishti. We are conducting an all krala cultural fest called dhwani inviting various artists and students to show their talents, there are various clubs in college for there own interest, you could find yourself interested in one of the clubs
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are good with 2 blocks for ladies hostand few blocks for mens hostel. With water and furniture with Bunker beds and tables, chairs, almirahs. There is 3 time meal and an evening snack is provided. After getting into the college, you should apply online or fill the registration form and submit it to hostel office of yhe college.college hostels are affordable compared to hostel outside the college.
Admission
I did an keam entrance test to get it into this college and its cut off was 30.the eligibility of the course should 12 grade graduate. The application could be found through keam website. Reservation could be availed for SC, ST, Minority groups.
