Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose BA in Economics. It is because I had an interest in Indian economics from the beginning. There is not much practical because this subject is theoretical.

Internships Opportunities

It's a yearly based education system that St.Anthony's College follows. So, no internship programs. If a student is interested then he has to move to another college to get it done.

Placement Experience

2

There is not as such placement opportunity that student gets from this college. After passing out from this college, a student has to find his own way to work and settle.

College Events

3

The events that are organized are only once a year. In the College Week that is in October every year, all the students take part with great enthusiasm in all the College events. The event is organized by the students but the management takes care of everything and does everything to make the program a great success.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Arts fees are less in comparison to Science and Commerce Stream. When I first took admission I paid 14500. Then the next installment is taken before the final year exams and that is almost 2000.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does provide some Scholarships but based on social backgrounds and there are criteria on the basis of which someone is selected for the scholarship. So, it is probably not for the majority. Other than there is no provision for loans for students.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

No, I have my own room. But I have heard that the Hostel rooms are pretty good as well. But rooms need to be shared and the food is given 3 times a day. The hostel rent is 4500 per month including food. The food is somewhat good in comparison to other nearby hostels my friends told me.

Alumni/Alumna

The student alumni meet happens sometimes during some cultural events. But is very rare and happens almost once in 2-3 years. The students have no role in the development and it is very sad that once a student passes out from this college they even don't bother to come here even once to see how the college is running.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are very supportive and well trained for teaching. They are always there for students when they need them. Their interaction with the students makes them perfect in every aspect.

The course is quite vast. But it only consisted of three subjects for my batch before NEP. We only have Western music, Hindustani classical music and regional music. But courses with NEP has a lot. And not just focuses on music but extras too.

I would rate an 8 because curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for the grade and a timeline to follow so the syllabus will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course psychology itself is a mind blowing. While studying the course I was able to know the details regarding problem-solving, attention seeking, decision making, concrete thinking ans so on. As the curriculum is more theoretical, the real world application is extremely limited. The only exposure we get is at our internship programs. Other than that we are limited to our classrooms. The exams lasts about half to three-fourth a month and there are 1-2 days gaps between each exam so the student can make some last minute preparations.

The college needs to work out a bit and have an accommodation for outstation students. That way, more students will be interested to study in the college. They should try their best to have it in the college.

Students take admission so as to get good placements. However, this college doesn't really have that option and so it needs to improve in that aspect as it'll ultimately give name to the college and also its alumnis.
