Course Curriculum Overview

3

I wouls rate the course curriculam 3.5 out of 5 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. The curriculam icludes a wide range of subjects which deals with the practical problems of the society which influenced my decison to take this course. The curriculam prepare the students quite well about the real world application. It deals with the main topics of commerce. The teachers here are quite rude and often they do not explain the topics very well, they just provide notes of the chapters to the students and just translate the notes as explanation of the topics to the student. My suggestion for the improvement of the course curriculam is that the teachers should explain more about the topics rather than just providing with the notes. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate and the frequency of the exams is approx 3-4 months. The timing of the exam differs each time ,sometimes it is in the 1st shift and sometimes it is in the 2nd shift.

Placement Experience

2

The placement of the college is not so good to talk about. In case a student does not get a campus placement he/she can then prepare for the entrance examinations of various jobs,or they can go for the masters by cracking the exams like CAT,XAT,SNAP etc. From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Company that visited last year was WIPRO and I am not sure regarding the number of offers made. The average package is approximately 6-8 lakhs and the highest package went like something about 10 lakhs. I am not sure Regarding the percentage of students getting placements but it should be in between 30-40 percent. My plans after this degree is quite clear after getting this degree I will prepare for the CAT examination and then I will do MBA or the masters, after that only I am going to do a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships is available for the minorities like OBCs and for the ST/SC group of the children as a financial assistance. The tuition fees is not too high, and there is not a very high degree of change in the fee increase policy. The complete charge for my education including the tuition fees, service fees, and other compulsory charges is 33,150 rupees only. The students of the minority groups are provided with the financial aids by the college. Any student of the minority group who wants to take the benefits of this must fill a form which he/she will get from the scholarship office with some specific documents. The campus provides some employement but the percentage and the packages are not too high. Also the college does not provide the students any inturnship oppourtunities too from its side. Although, there are many professors in the college who were students of this college which speaks about the job oppourtunities given by the college.

Campus Life

2.5

The infrastructure is decent. There are various clubs in the college which provide great oppourtunities to the students and help them to develop their skills and also to enjoy their hobbies. My overall experience with the campus life is quite good. There is only one fest which is held by the college and it is in the month of December and January. The range of the books in the library is quite good and the accessibility of these books is also very easy as any student who wants to borrow a book from the library just needs a library card. The classrooms are big in size but I think the number of fans are not enough. Every classroom has a smart board which is beneficial for the students as it helps in better understanding. There is only one ground and 2 basketball courts in the campus. The college does not provide much with the sport facilities or the extracurricular activity.Majority of the groups and clus are run by the students only which has a vey positive impact on the student life.

Admission

The examination process was quiet smooth. The application process was also smooth.Yes, I gave the entrance examination. I had got my name in the second cut off list in which the cut off was 145 for general and I had got 151. The full marks of the entrance exam was 200. Any student who wants to be eligible for this course must be a 12th passout student from any board. The application form, application fees, and the application dates along with the other details are available on the official college website. I did not avail any reservation benefit. The difficulty level of the examination is moderate that is not too diffucult and not too easy. The frequency of the examination is six months and the timing of the examination differs each time. Sometimes its in the morning and sometimes it is the afternoon. The admission process still needs some improvements like the updates of the application form of the students should be updated quiet more frequently on the college website.

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.
