What Students Say

Likes

Curicculum structure of the metallurgy department
Campus environment where you observe greenery
Clubs and their involvement in academics also

Dislikes

Hostel maintenance where dogs also live in the same floor
Mess food its taste and quality in IIT BHU

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Atleast there would be one math course upto 4th semester. Department courses were found to be interesting as the semesters progress. Lab facilities were also good but all of them were not accessible for undergraduates. The curriculum was not that hectic but the professors are a bit particular in attendance and relative grading things

Class Size: 118Course Fees: INR 106000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are few companies in the core of the metallurgy and many opportunities in SDE, Product management, consulting, data analytics and all. Women are given more opportunities in the name of diverse hiring

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements has taken place on a good note in the previous years with 2.15 cr being highest placement. A decline in SDE profiles has been observed in the last 2 years but core placements have been increased.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee for general category students is a lot higher than the reserved candidates and the families with less than 1 lakh annual income. Scholarships for general category and families with more than 8 lakh annual income is highly impossible. Scholarship section sends mails frequently regarding the availability. Campus employment was good in previous years but due to the recession a decline has been observed.

Campus Life

3.5

There are 6 councils in the college in different domains. The film and media council is the most active in the campus and the sports council where we have very good sports facilities. Infrastructure is not that developed when compared to tier 1 IIT's because it is declared IIT 11 years ago so given time it's infrastructure will become better

Hostel Facilities

Two new hostels have been constructed and other hostels are also getting renovated. Hot water in the bathrooms are not supplied properly. Drinking water is also not accessible in every floor of the hostel. Dogs roam here and there and also stay in the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

The cut-off was not highly changed for the general category when compared to the previous year. Physical registration was bit tough for the first time in getting the right documents. Reservation benefits have affected general category students a lot

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

In terms of placement IIT bhu rank is now 2 after IIT kanpur that's one of the reason to choose it. Now I tell u about my admission process all the students alloted a date to submit documents and for hostel verification . Then on that day the allot us hostel room to stay. Then all students of different branches alloted different places to go and submit documents we go there and submit documents after a rush. Then they give us college id card with college stamp.
