Remarks

The admission to the college is completely based upon the CLAT score. The Madhya Pradesh domicile got reserved seats in the college. Accordingly, there is reservation for SC/ ST and OBC classes as per the government guidelines and there is also one more reservation for the defence category. There is no such sports quota

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is comprehensive and complies with the UGC guidelines perfectly and in the coming years they were introducing more and more subjects for the honours curriculum. The curriculum perfectly covers all the laws required for a five-year Curriculum

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 243000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college has an internship and placement cell which brings in good internships and placement for the students and the college also offers two internship breaks in a year. The high court in Jabalpur offers ample of internships internship opportunities for students.

Placement Experience

The college being a budding NLU do not have placement as such but in the forthcoming years it is expected to grow exponentially. Many of the previous year students qualified the MP judiciary civil Judge Examination. And around five or ten students from each batch secure their basement in firms like jsa legal Wadhwa Law Associates and Argus etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is a bit exorbitant for a budding annually like dnlu but the fees justified because of the non availability of a permanent campus. But the M.P. government and the financial aid of the college support a lot of students with their fee liablities.

Campus Life

Though the college lack in this infrastructure for now but it has ample of playgrounds and buildings. The college holds a great culture with frequent parties and DJ Nights amongst various cultural and co-curricular events.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are quite good with all the necessary amenities provided to the students and it holds a 3rd party mess within the hostels with a subsidised rate. The hostel rooms are equipped with coolers and cupboards. It also offers a study table and a bed alongside.

University holds a qualified team of facilities and staff dnlu has strategically recruited experienced professionals from reputed national law universities and central universities ensuring student received top notch legal education.

Again lucky enough to had a revised and modern curriculum as our batch started after covid so we got best opportunity to get the new curriculum which is highly relevant and more practical.The teachers teaching were also professionals having nice command over the subject matter and best part through our research and viva skills they developed even more faster

The campus life in Gour's city

Likes

the best thing s about my collage is the course which i'm doing is generally a high fee professional course but in this central university it is very affordable or we can say the minimum fee for the course in central university ,
the campus life is also good l little bit lack of exposure but over all it best
the hostel service is best in low fee and mess is ok ok but the academic is good

Dislikes

the most important thing which i dis like being a girl is mess mandatory , which is only in girls hostel
second things which i don;t like that is their is lack of exposure like nlus . lack of placement celss in all
something that is missing that is the university is in sagar , where very limited scope of travelling and city life .

thhis is a professional course which is attract me for the bulding my future ,in course curriculum all the things is perfect but lack of prtaicall knowledge and the lack of proper knowledge and aspects of the proper pratically knowledge is very very imporatant in this section, the frequency and the timing of the eexam is very well , the difficulty level for the eexam is collage level some time is is roo hard like competative exams

Dr Harsingh Gour University has it all!

Likes

Infrastructure as even though its a central university, our infrastructure is as modern as anything.g.
From college gate to entire 1300 acres campus cleanliness is same as our campus is thoroughly maintained.
Faculties too are Phd and have good name in the world of law.

Dislikes

Practically speaking our college which is university's school of law hardly provides any placements.

Placement Experience:

Placements I think we should skip it as very rarely do we get placements from Dr Harsingh Gour University. So, most of us are searching on our own while some are applying for further studies. I am also planning for IILM and will keep giving Bar Council Exams alongside.

Worthy and affordable university

Likes

The campus is very beautiful lies in hilly area and the campus occupy space of 1318.13 acres making a beautiful campus especially during rainy season
The teachers and faculty support staff is very cooperative
The moot court and law library facilities available for law students help them in engaging veith academic and practical skill as well

Dislikes

No city life sagar is town which is not metropolitan so offcourse there is no city life
Travelling from university to hometown ,you don't get proper train or buses from the station in sagar
The building for law students is very old needs renovation

The course provides you with dual degree ie ba LLB which is of 5 year if I do both seperately it will take 7 years The curriculum is fully furnished to prepare future advocates. More faculty per student to improve overall performance of student and scheduled internship breakd The examination has mid every 2 months and a examination for end sem every 6 months and the examination are simple to pass

NLIU Bhopal is nestled well for student!!

Likes

From student engagement to placement opportunities both are taken care of really well at NLUI Bhopal.
Infrastructure again is superb as it has a class apart facilities.
Some students are at par with students of top NLUs like NUJs, NLSIU and GNLU.

Dislikes

50% students are taken from reserved category who are undeserving.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell pf pura is backed by Alumni Network or rather ea very strong alumni network which consists of students working in courts and practicing under top judges and top legal firms like Amarchand and all. So students of our college are invited for mock tests of those firms and those who clears it do get jobs in such firms.

A college with good ethics

Likes

Faculty are highly qualified and most of the professor are graduated from NLU . Bollywood celebrities came here for the promotion of there films
Cafeteria is best it creates a chill surroundings and the staff of the college is helping in nature
Library is the most beautiful place of the college.There are different section for all the courses. The faculty of Library are ausome

Dislikes

There is no ground for sports which hurts.
The college didn't provide placement which is quite disturbing
The faculty didn't support at the time of fees die

Course Curriculum Overview:

Law is one such field which attracts me the more and to know about the law and a person right and to fight for the others rights that attracts me to pursue this course.The world of ciriculam and the real world of law are very different.In ciriculam you only learn the law and how will be it applies but in real world the court working is very diifernt.The area of improvement is not necessary it's good but in law college there should be a moot court which is absent in the college.The exam conducting authority disappointed allot.There is no specific shecdule for exam conducting.

My collage

Likes

The staff of the collage is very friendly and loves to help.
The procedure of everything in college is not a hectic one.
There are no internal examinations and you don't have to attend classes regularly.

Dislikes

Although the staff is friendly, most of the members of it are incompetent.
Not a good collage in terms of academics.
Faculty is biased towards spreading there own political ideology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are some extra curricular activities which are worth mentioning. There are debate competitions, rangoli competition, speech competition, sports activities (of name only) and some other activities as well. There is nothing in the collage which prepares you for real world. There are no interships, there is no court visit, but they sometimes invite local judges and members of judiciary to guide students. Students do not attend classes because they know that there is nothing to learn there.

Likes

Teachers are very supportive. Very less tuition and hostel fees.
It is an autonomous government university thus it provides govt. scholarships

Dislikes

Poor administration and very poor student support. The administrative authorities are reckless and care least about students .
No transportation from college side. No proper facility of drinking water plus washrooms. 2 put of 5 fans in every classroom dont work and the worst part is authorities do not care about this. Even the scholarships take almost an year to be credited
Very less opportunities. No placements and internships provided. The syllabus ia also outdated. No subscription to sites like manupatra etc are given.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus is not updated often. We are only taught theories and not give the opportunity to have a practical experience. It is only in 5th year that we get skme excursions and moot courts. Other than that only subjects are taught for the sake of completing syllabus. Co-curricular activities are very rare

NLIU Bhopal: A place with an Ocean of opportunities for Law Students

Placement Experience:

Campus placements start from the beginning of the Fourth year i.e., for seventh-semester students. The batch of 2021 secured 48 placements at various top tier law firms such as Khaitan, Trilegal, Jyoti Sagar Associates, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, L&L Partners, Sharaf & Partners, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas etc. The highest package awarded was Rs 18 lakh and the average package was Rs 12 lakh. 40% of students got placements in the batch of 2021. After my graduation, I want to pursue a career in the corporate law field.

Placement Experience:

From the 9th semester, students become eligible for campus placements, the highest package as I know ranges near about 12lakhs, my plans after getting the degree involve restoring freedom, integrity, and discipline.

After you give CLAT, you automatically apply to mang colleges as all NLUs come under that. It wasn't easy though as getting a two tier NLU, I though of switching to a private university as NMIMS Hyderabad was the one where I was getting admission but couldn't took as it was too far. MPDNLU is majestic!!

Rejection definitely from top NLUs be it the Bangalore, Hyderabad or the Kolkata one. Even GNLU was my preferred but even they don't take students below the rank of 400 for general category. So with a rank of 2200 I had very few options and out of which DNLU seemed best by all means....Read More

DNLU: Journey from Layman to Lawyer.

Well, National Law Universities have their own charm in terms of Law professionals. One, it adds to your CV a good impression for placements and internships, second, the quality education they provide as per the updated requirements of the field, third, it gives you confidence and a better crowd to be surrounded with. However, I always wanted to get into an NLU and appeared for CLAT henceforth. One can go to other state universities but i personally have witnessed them being trapped in traditional laws and primitive methods of education.
