Course Curriculum Overview
In first year course cirriculum is same for all the branches , in first year all the subject are simmilar to the Jee syallbus. In second Year some of the student's branch get updated from their first year score. After that every student are alloted subjects according to their branches. In third year student focuses on the internships and project to improve their practical knowlwdge . Exam held within a week no prepratory holiday is provided , the exam week is so hectic .
Internships Opportunities
Our college provide so many projects under the guidence of the well qaulified and trained professors. In summer our college provide internship opportuinity for the student of other college and the students of nit silchar also.
Placement Experience
The Placement of NIT Silchar is good . college provide enough knowledge and potential to the sthe student so that the easily get on campus placement and some of those who don't get college placement they may apply for off-campus placement and either they go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of nit silchar is quite high .The students whose annual family income is more than 5 lakhs they have to pay 72k tution fess per semester and 22k fees for hostel. and those whose family income is less than 5lakh i.e between 1-5 lakh they have to pay one third of the the tution fees and those whose family income is less than 1 lakh they need not to pay any tution fees and hostel fees is remain same for everyone. our college provide some may schloships for those whose family income is less. The campus scenerio of nit silchar is good except this time i.e 2023 due to ressesion.
Campus Life
The campus life of our college is mesmerizing , the greenary of the campus is one of the major attraction for the students . Student of Nit silchar come from different part of the country and even from some of the students come from bangladesh and nepla also . In our college there are some ma y clubs like coding clubs , ML Clubs etc. and every branch has their respected society to promote the social life among the studnets.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility for boys are good but it is not same for girls there are only four hotels for girls and in every room three to four students hev to stay the size of the room are not so big so it is quite difficult for live in such small rooms. fees for hotesl id 22k which is sam fo girls and boys but the facilities ans food is not same.
Admission
The admission process for undergraduate program of Nit silchar is little bit difficult . First you have to clear Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Mains) and based on the performance of the exam student alloted air rank and according to the jeenranks different different colleges get alloted. For allocation process one shoold have to enroll for counselling and based on jee rank and one's preference of college and institutes college get alloted.
Faculty
The faculty of nit silchar is well-educated and highly skilled. Every faculty with advanced degrees from prestigious institutes llike IITs and some other reputed colleges are actively engaged in research and academic activities. Every subject has two to three teacher for each subject and their respective lab. Student can attract to the professor without ant hesitation but some of the professor are strict they may scold you.
