Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for that grade, and a a timeline to follow so the year will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type t
Placement Experience
Placements were good at my college for a past few years.From S7 onwards we are eligible for placements without any back papers. More than 80-100 students are getting placement out of 280.My plan is to get placed well.
Fees and Financial Aid
It's about rs 35000+other fees in my college. As I am OBC, i would get an NSP scholarship of rs 25000 which is barely half the amount of college fees I could pay. Not by college; different institutions and companies provide internships, and we go there for our activity points.
Campus Life
All are good. There are good programs and well being life going on.sports and extracurricular activities offered on campus.social groups, clubs, or student portals, including their impact on student life like IEEE, CSI, NSS, NCC.
Admission
Admission process took so many allotments and so many dates for admission. At first rs 10000 to entrance exam had to pay then almost rs 50000, tution fees and PTA funds had to pay. Has to speed up the admission process
Faculty
Faculty at research institutions play a central role in advancing knowledge and careers, as well as promoting the well-being of students and colleagues in research environments. Mentorship from experienced peers has been touted as critical for enabling these myriad roles to allow faculty development, career progression, and satisfaction. However, there is little information available on who supports faculty and best ways to structure a faculty mentorship programme for early- and mid-career academics. In the interest of advocating for increased and enhanced faculty mentoring and mentoring programmes, we surveyed faculty around the world to gather data on whether and how they receive mentoring. We received responses from 457 early- and mid-career faculty and found that a substantial portion of respondents either reported having no mentor or a lack of a formal mentoring scheme.
