Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission process of our college is on percentage basis. Our college has two seats, one is government allotted seat and the other is self fees section. The fees for government allotted seats are less but the fees for self fees section are higher. In our college, students get three type scholarship, first is inspire award, second is PM scholarship and third is CM scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Many type of annual and technical festivals held in my college. All type of books needed in course is available in library. Classroom has a physical board . But labs has a modern board . We can participate in national level games by playing games from college.

Admission

Admission in our college is based on 12th percentage. The cut off for admission in college is 80+ almost every year. If there was a entrance exam it is slightly better . If students have a game certificate then the will get a reservation.

Faculty

4

The ratio of students in our college is almost equal. We can talk to the teacher anytime during college time.Teacher's behavior is always good with the students. There are separate hostels for both girls and boys in our college. For girl safety, boys going to girls hostel is not allowed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which i took is general bsc biology. As i was very fond of biology subject. I also find it very challenging and exiting to learn about the organisms which are alive and how they live. As for faculty, we have very few teachers in science department. The way of their teaching is decent. You can easily pass the exam with their notes. I also want that their should be different classes for English medium students and hindi medium because sometimes it gets confusing to understand some terms as also for teachers. And as i said before that the exam difficulty is moderate there's not much difficulty level.
