Likes
- A lot of activities giving us holistic development student centered teaching with smart classes and well facilitated rooms every student gets a personal mentor whom they can approach anytime for assistance experiential learning is provided
- Other than just the classroom our infrastructure is too good which helps students to refresh themselves and have a fresh mind there are coffee centres and food centres too there is yearly fest being held which gives us a sense of leadership skills
- Faculty members are kind and helpful towards students also focus is just not on main end term exams there are all over CCA exams being held which gives us no pressure for last moment rote learning all the pdfs and presentations are sent to us
Dislikes
- As the timing is from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm we hardly get time at home for studying or doing any assignments or projects it is hard to maintain this balance attendance during professional courses is hard to maintain this way
- Food for day scholars are served in a seperate place where it is very hot and humid even the food doesnt taste that good the chicken seems to be just boiled and served they should improve their food quality as lot of us have food inside the uni
- Attendance and punching systems are too much of an headache for us if we miss our punching anyday we are marked as absent sometimes we are 5 or 10 mins late to class because of traffic or lack of transport in that case too our attendance is gone
Course Curriculum Overview
Firstly there are good placement facility provided by University . Internship opportunities are really a grab for we get international internship opportunities too as Adamas has signed MOU with several countries . The overall curriculum gives a holistic development to students and real world applications becomes easier as we are taken on field trips and insdustrial visits also scholl visits are there . CCA exams are taken every week mostly which does not gives us last minute load on us for End Term exams . The only issues is the university timings 9 to 5 if we are there in university then we really dont get much time to study back at home .
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities in B.Ed dept was given by many schools who have pact with Adamas University no such payment was said . We get certificates at the end of internship. Projects and assignments are given to us as a part of our CCA which helps us in holidtic development and does not gives us pressure for that last moment study
Placement Experience
Placements are good for engineering students B.Ed students placement are hardly known to me as i am still pursuing my degree but as much as i know private schools with salary not more than 16k / month mostly come for hiring which is not that great .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is optimal as per courses are the infrastructure is well maintained we also get library assistance . There are scholarships for students who have maintained good grades throughout the year. The placement cell is nice as everyone gets trained before the placements start . Grooming classes are there every week
Campus Life
Every department have their freshers and farewell every year along with celebrations of different festivals like holi and durga puja agamoni there are many more . Also our fest Afinova is held every year now and some really good singers come to perform in our uni . Clubs are there for every field you would ever want .
Admission
There were lot of advertisements i came across before coming to Adamas . I reached out to college directly visited them and the faculty guided me well gave a counselling about the course also a full tour of college was given . After this i was asked to give their entrance test which was taken in online formal after clearing that i qualified for the PI round and then my admission was confirmed it was an easy process .
Faculty
The faculties are great no doubt but mostly it is seen that the good profs leave the uni this is happening so often that now a days every new week we get to see a new prof it becomes hard to catch up on topics done previously as everyone has their own teaching style . We do get all the presentations well explained and also suggestions by our esteemed teachers . Experiencial learning is given atudents are taken to field visits and industrial visits which gives us a better picture of what we are going to do next . We are also taken on excursion this time we went to Sundarbans which was an excellent relief from all the academic stress and also got to learn a lot many things . A lot of weekly activities are there special assembly is held for B.Ed students along with regular assembly .
Interview Experience
There was an online admission test which was taken on universities web link it was an easy exam of 30 mins which could be given by laptop . After clearing that round a PI was taken over call by faculty member of our B.Ed dept . It was an easy exam of our basic knowledge so any one could give it even if unprepared
