- It's the topmost college in Aktu university. Placements are good. Faculty is supportive.
- There are many societies in JSS which really help in character development.
Dislikes
- Most of the faculties don't know how to teach and they aren't even fully aware of the subjects they are teaching.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am doing CSE with specialization in Data Science. It teaches the subjects for placements. Plus there are labs for implementing the knowledge. There isn't any particular subject related to Data Science. It's just that there are common subjects which are taught in other branches too.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements after 3rd year. All the mass recruiters visit this college and offer a decent package of 6-7 lakhs. Highest package was 19 lakhs. Almost all the students in this college get placed. I would be going into the corporate after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee doesn't increase every year. The complete cost of my 4 year course is around 6 lakhs. There isn't any scholarship for academically good students but there is one scholarship that Aktu provides where the annual income of the child should be less than around 4 lakhs per annum. Not everyone gets that scholarship. The course is affordable when compared to other colleges.
Campus Life
Only one annual festival is held in this college which is Zealicon and it is held in around April or May. The library is equipped with enough books. There are labs where you can do coding. Many sports and extracurricular activites are offered here. There are inter college competitions too in which our clg takes part. Volleyball, Basketball, these are the two main sports which are played here.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel has both Ac and non- Ac rooms. The quality of meal is satisfactory. For living in hostel one needs to visit the hostel and then fill the form. Hostel is not so affordable since they don't provide laundry and the cost of Ac rooms is 1,30000 per annum. Plus if the AC room surpasses a certain unit then they have to pay the rest of the bill. Hostel is inside the campus itself.
Admission
For the admission in this clg one needs to give JEE and the counseling is done through Aktu university. Once you get the clg you need to report and then get all the demands done. All the documents have to be taken along. The cut off for this clg is 90 percentile. You'll get decent branch if you get more than 90 percentile and you are a general category student.
Faculty
There are enough faculties for the students but they don't know how to teach. Many of them have done their PHD and post graduation from the colleges which come under AKTU University and tehy don't have much knowledge about their own subject. Plus any faculty (except English or Maths one) is given any subject to teach. They themselves study from YouTube and then teach us.
