In conclusion I would say it's not a bad college but surely should be on top of your list
Firstly one of my friend informed me that Eswari is one of the top college in Chennai. Then I did my own research and mostly found positive things about college. Another aspect was that Eswari comes under SRM management. So there was a sense of assurity on my mind.
Since Eswari engineering college is Anna University affiliated college, so it follows Anna university course curriculum. I'm not a fan of the the Anna university course curriculum. I hope it changes in future cause it only creates pressure on students. B
Straight out NO. College won't provide you any internships at all. Let me put this way, in practical learning this is worst as it gets But in reality most of the colleges are like that only.
Placement and job opportunities depends on which department you are studying. For computer science and IT it's good enough, most of the students who have cleared all subjects do get placed at least in one company but for other departments students getting a job in their core company is too low.
First year's inaugural day ( swagat) - understandable from the name this is to welcome first year students to the college. Annual Day - Again understanbl from name, happens once a year and it's a happening event. For sure few celebrity will attend this event.
Fee structure in comparison to the college in Chennai of the same level as Eswari is its Expensive. Fee structure keeps on changing every year, so no point telling my fee structure. But there won't be any hidden fees, what all you are paying while admission is final fee payment
Scholarship or loan facilities are are not provided from college. If there is some external scholarships or loan college will help in it.
Campus life is good. Gender diversitity ratio would be nearly 100:100. In extracurricular activities sports, cultural activities like singing, dancing etc all are supported by college. Eswari has its own dedicated football, kabadi and cricket team, which are good at District level.
Hostel facilities have got improved a lot in recent years but again comparatively it's a lot costly then other colleges. All basic facilities are there with attached washroom. TV is placed in common area in every floor. There is generator facility also so fear of electricity cut.
There is nothing like alumni network in Eswari engineering college. Once in a while some senior my come to college for there work purposes and then they might give insight about there work
In total there are 3 exams in gap of 1 1/2 month, called as cycle test and in this they might select best of 2 from 3 or take and average of 3 as internal marks for the semester exam. That all is OK but in last some e years college is organizing 2 test on the same day. This creates unnecessary pressure on students.
Basically, I got admission through management quota. I have completed diploma, so I got admission directly to second year. For management quota students you have to visit their office in vadapalini. After confirming your eligibility for the course they will give choices which friends you are eligible for.
Faculty in totality is just above average. In my personal opinion their are very few staff that are having enough knowledge to be a professor for engineering students, qualifications Yes they will be but surely not knowledgeable enough and neither most of them are actually loving there work.
Our College can accommodate only limited number of students and faculty. I recommend the College to increase the rooms and infrastructure like systems, benches. And the College doesn't provide any travelling accomodation like College bus and living accomodation like hostel. With the implementation of the above facilities there will be no more remarks for my College.
We should go to the College directly and take an application for admission which is fee of cost and choose the course u like. Submit your application in the office. And your application will be accepted.
We are having many offers from many companies of IT and as well as BPO. We will be providing off campus and on campus drives which helps us to participate in the success of attaining organization goals and getting job in the sector we choose.
The Alumni are all around associated and visit the college regularly. A few seniors are greatly supportive while others are more available on social media for interaction. The college has a very good atmosphere and it is a very big campus and college itself has a park inside. This is the best part I love about the college.
