Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The curriculum provides ECE in foundation. Also we have AETCOM from first year onwards which boost our confidence and build our communication skill for clinical exposure in the second year. Exams for clinical subjects from second year is a expert approach for facing NEXT exam.

Internships Opportunities

1

The campus provide intership which is mandatory for all the students. Rs.13000/- is the amount you receive in this period. This is very low when compared to other colleges. Project and researches can be done by students.

Fees and Financial Aid

8,75,000 total fee has to be paid. This includes tution fee, hostel fee, mess fee, miscellaneous fee, special fee . Various scholarships like MOMA , E-grantz,CHM are available for students. Many students have received these. Also till the year 2019 the students have received BPL scholarship which funds about 90% of the tution fee.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is very boring in first year as they doesn't allow the first year students to take part in any of the activities. Also gym facilities are also restricted for the first year students. But second year onwards you can take part in both sports and arts events. The college also take part in various inter college competitions.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

We have a room where 3 students are meant to share. The hostel has a badminton court but it is restricted for first year students. Here we don't have attached bathroom and toilet. Summer time is very difficult here as there is no air conditioning. Also filters in different floors are damaged.

Admission

Before applying I thought the fee here is less compared to other colleges. But it was wrong since after taking admission they demanded more fee. And special fee here is high compared to other colleges.

Faculty

2.5

The faculties available are very helpful and supportive. In first year we have Dr. Tharakeshwari who is a HOD of physiology department, her way of teaching is very refreshing. She used to take classes by sharing her own experiences. Also Dr. Regina, HOD of pharmacology department is very helpful. Dr Nikita of forensic medicine is someone who students can always rely on. The pass percentage here is high compared to other colleges. For first year University examination for batch 2022, only 3 students out of 100 hve failed.

Our curriculum is very good and it covers everything that is needed to become a doctor. The exams are quite difficult which is needed. Even if anybody fails the exam they keep another one in a month which allows us to save a year and continue with the rest of our peers

It's a rather strict college, so if you're looking to have a lot of fun and no pressure, this wouldn't be the place for you. The Amrita University is well known abroad, and would be beneficial if you're planning a post graduation abroad.
