The food we get in canteen is absolutely delicious it’s affordable and tasty
A person from middle class background can easily afford to pursue higher studies through st anthonys college

The campus, time for classes, it’s so messy
The Internet in the college is so bad it’s not satisfying enough
People are kinda rude there and also judgemental

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus are all covered and timings were always on point so we get a lot of time left for revisions, teachers were also very positive and helpful specially in academic field no improvement was needed as with all the trained staff we never faced any such obstacles towards the exams

Per semester fees is 19450 i took major in history and in next semester your fees will decrease it's affordable if you think properly all total feels is only 19450 i just love the college so much I don't really know about scholarships but ig there are quite good ones out there

The sports facilities are awesome courts and grounds are well maintained. Students are free to participate in sports events. Sports team also have their instructors to guide them there's a free wifi in the campus. The library is vast, all kinds of books are available with huge and quite sitting area

Admission

I heard that it's one of the best and reputed college under NEHU, my uncle suggested me to go there as he also graduated from st anthonys at first I wasn't sure about this college as i was more interested to go in st edmunds i applied for it but we needed cuet for that so i didn't got admission instead i choose this college as we dont need cuet and yes I don't regret coming here college has great infrastructure and facilities the course fees is around 20000 per year

ST ANTHONY’s COLLEGE SHILLONG

Likes

The college was full diverse with people coming from different states.
The faculty is quite cleaned and well organized.
College week was the best part of the college.

Dislikes

The professors were quite rude. If asked something you will be questioned as dumb.
The teaching style was not good. They would teach in their local language most of the time.
The time table was quite hectic as the classes started from 8:00 AM and ended in 4:30 PM and having only 30 mins break the whole day.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quite vast. But it only consisted of three subjects for my batch before NEP. We only have Western music, Hindustani classical music and regional music. But courses with NEP has a lot. And not just focuses on music but extras too.

i've always had a passion for literature and it's musings so i guess english has always been close to home and my intellect. The curriculum makes me well known to the real world. There aren't any necessary improvements as per my perspective. The level of difficulty is moderate except it prepares every student to get out of one's comfort zone

My college offers an excellent learning environment with highly experienced faculty who are always approachable for guidance. The teaching methods are interactive, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications
The infrastructure is commendable with well equipped classrooms labs and a modern library. Campus life is vibrant with a mix of cultural, technical and sports events that foster a sense of community
The placement services are affective with top companies participating in campus recruitment and providing ample job opportunities

Dislikes

One area where the college needs improvement is the hostel facilities which require better maintenance and amenities
The Internet connectivity can be inconsistent in certain areas of the campus which impact students who rely online resources
The mess food lacks variety and often does not meet quality standards

I liked the campus it was huge with great views sorrounded by umiam lake its beautiful
Chappel or Church where every student attend whether you are hindu they used to attend
Some many programs are being help like skill india,computer classes for free

Dislikes

The classrooms they were kind of old it wasnt renovated
Yeah there is water issue over in shillong in rainy days the water gets dirty which no one would like to drink so we have to buy our own water ....college authorities also provide fresh water when it becomes a big issue
The instruments for field study in geography are too old some doesnt work

I choose this course because i wanted to study geography and to know about it and i had to choose this institution because in Tripura there was no good college which provide BA geography honours so i had to move to Meghalaya...it is fun to study during 5-6th semester where we have to do field study with different instruments the are so amazing and in 6th semester they take us to trekking but unfortunate we were not taken because of exams ....the Nehu exams are so hard

A detailed review on my college (St Anthony’s,Shillong):pros and cons

I applied into the university of agricultural sciences, Raichur. I got selected there and was invited for admission but I canceled my admission as it was too far away from my hometown. I got selected there for the degree of b.tech in agricultural engineering which I didn't really prefer too as I didn't want to persue b.tech. So I applied cuet and under cuet I applied for BHU and DU but I couldn't register for DU university registration because I didn't knew the last date.
