Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Some specific aspects of curriculum that make me choose this college is that because the rank of the college is high. The curriculum also helps us in the future by making us do our projects, fieldwork and also go to the schools like an internship. In my opinion the college does not need any improvement. Time of writing exams is 3 hrs and it is enough time for us to complete our exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year-wise we have to pay a sum of 26000 and the course is for three years. We don't have any tuition fees but and admission fees will be that 26000 rupees when we paid before entering the college and is compulsory for both SC/ST. Comparing to Bsc our course is not so costly than their course they have to to pay an amount of 30000 rupees each year. For the scholarship there are two types minority and Umbrella. Minority are for those students who get 60% while umbrella is for all students.

Campus Life

5

There are many programs in the college which helps us in showing our talents like college week, etc. There are many accessibility of books available in the Library in which students can go and search for notes and all. Some technological provisions are projector, AC, smart screen, etc. There are social groups and clubs also.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is very good, some faculties present in the room are chais, wardrobe, beds, etc. The meal is not that good in the morning but it is good in the dinner because we get meat. Registration process is both online and offline. For PG i will stay in the same hostel.

Admission

I applied in shillong college shillong and i also got selected but I want to be in this college because it was my dream. I didn't get any rejection from other colleges. I've also applied here but I was afraid if I don't get I have to be prepared. The admission process is both online and offline and Cuet is compulsory.

Faculty

4.5

In the college there's many good facilities and they are approachable. Some faculties are smart screen, Projector, etc and I like it because it halp the students in learning and the teachers in teaching. There is no faculty that I don't like. We have a semester wise examination and almost each student do well while only some who don't study failed. The curriculum is quite easy.

The course is quite vast. But it only consisted of three subjects for my batch before NEP. We only have Western music, Hindustani classical music and regional music. But courses with NEP has a lot. And not just focuses on music but extras too.

I would rate an 8 because curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for the grade and a timeline to follow so the syllabus will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course psychology itself is a mind blowing. While studying the course I was able to know the details regarding problem-solving, attention seeking, decision making, concrete thinking ans so on. As the curriculum is more theoretical, the real world application is extremely limited. The only exposure we get is at our internship programs. Other than that we are limited to our classrooms. The exams lasts about half to three-fourth a month and there are 1-2 days gaps between each exam so the student can make some last minute preparations.

The college needs to work out a bit and have an accommodation for outstation students. That way, more students will be interested to study in the college. They should try their best to have it in the college.

Students take admission so as to get good placements. However, this college doesn't really have that option and so it needs to improve in that aspect as it'll ultimately give name to the college and also its alumnis.
