Course Curriculum Overview
Courses offered in this field 1. B.tech in Civil Engineering 2. M.tech in * Structural Engineering * Geotechnical Engineering * Transportation Engineering 3. MBA in Construction Management 4. Ph.D. in Civil engineering And talking about the exam structure then GLA conducts exams every month it includes 3 modules in every semester.
Placement Experience
The placement provided by my university is a level up. If I talk about my course ( civil engineering ) then In the session 2018 - 19 * The placement % in civil engineering is 80% * 32 core companies visited for the campus placements of civil branch students. * The highest package went up to 12,00,000 per annum with the annual package of 4 lacs per annum. If talking about the overall placement in this session - * GLA came across 2300+ placement offers in 320+ MNCs. * Its proud thing to share that GLA is the only university in UTTAR PRADESH where the top company MICROSOFT came for campus placement.
College Events
There are a lot of events that are celebrated in the university. FEST ORGANISED - A lot of fests are organized in GLAU so that students can get an opportunity to showcase their talents They are specially organized for weekends so that the classes are not missed by the students and they can enjoy their weekends. Fests like JHOOM { organised by IBM (UG) } , AGRATA { organised by IBM (PG) } , MAITREE ( sports fest ) , SPANDAN { organised by ITM }. etc are specially organised for students. WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS - In most of the weekends, workshops and seminars are conducted for the students where they can interact with the experts and can solve their queries regarding any domain.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Well I have done B.tech in civil from GLA If talking about the fees for this course. Its 78,000 per semester OR 1,53,000 per annum. The total tuition fees of 4 years of the BTech civil course is 6,30,000 And the first year fee with other expenses The fee structure includes Tuition fees + caution money + Examination charges + Alumni Association Fees # The tuition fees depend upon the course you are opting for # The caution money is 10,000 ( For all the courses except Diploma in Engineering / D.Pharm and B.Ed ) The caution money is 5000 ( For Diploma in Engineering / D.Pharm / B.Ed ) # The Examination Charges is 6,000 # The alumni association fees are 1,000
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, I got a scholarship during admission. Its the norm of the university to provide a scholarship worth Rs. 25000 per annum to a candidate who got 80-89% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths during admission.
Campus Life
The campus life in GLA is memorable, knowledgeable, adventurous and emotional at the same time. There is the various source of entertainment in the university. A lot of students from the entire nation are there in the university which makes the environment of the university very great. there are various competitions organized in the university to develop the competitive skills in the students.
Alumni/Alumna
It's definitely a mindset of the people that there must ragging done in the university but it's not true with GLA ...GLA has strict restriction over ragging. And the seniors in my college are damn helpful .. and alumni networks are also strong in the university.
Admission
I got the admission through the entrance test known as GLAET. Since I got admission in B.tech ( Civil Engineering ), Therefore I'll tell you about the admission procedure of this same course. It will be the test of 120 minutes that includes 90 questions of 4 marks each from the subjects * Physics * Chemistry * Mathematics And it includes a negative marking of 1 mark on every wrong question.
Faculty
The faculty of my college is helpful and experienced at the same time .. they do provide us theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge of it. Most of the faculties in my college are Ph.D. holders. If I have to describe them in one word then...it will be " PROFESSIONALISM "
