Remarks
The faculty is decent but the curriculum and course haven't been much updated. Since last year there has been a change in course and exam pattern but it still isn't up to the mark. Other than that the infrastructure is good and it has lots of ground and greenery.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and the curriculum aren't bad, but it hasn't been updated recently. Many new subjects and topics that are of relevance today are sometimes skipped as we are still learning old technologies. There are 3 exams in a semester (2 midterms of 20 marks each and 1 final exam or end semester exam of 40 marks)
Placement Experience
The placement is very good. For computer science and electronic engineering students, the placements are great. More than 100 MNCs have visited for the placement drive this year with packages varying from 3.5 LPA to 16 LPA.
College Events
Aagaz- inter school sports event organized every year at GLA in which many schools participate. Maitree- Inter college sports event. National level event organized every year Battle of Hands-on different bands perform and compete in a music event
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is on par with other private engineering colleges. For some branches, like computer science, the fee is more than other braches. The fee can be paid on a yearly basis or semester basis, though it costs a little more when paid on a semester basis.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a scholarship offered by the college on a merit basis. if you have scored more than 85% average in physics, chemistry, and mathematics you will get a 10% scholarship on the annual fee. and if you have scored more than 90% then there is a 20% scholarship on the annual fee.
Campus Life
There are many clubs and extracurricular activities. some of the clubs are basketball, Natraj- dance club, Nukkad- drama club, Poetry club, etc. there are many inter college competitions with many famous judges. there are also debate fashion and talent competitions.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the seniors and alumni are very helpful. they help you throughout your course, starting from the first year. The environment is positive and there is no ragging as there is a very active and helpful anti ragging team. the senior helps you even when you are preparing for your GATE exams or placement drives.
Faculty
The faculty is decent. there are some excellent teachers and some not so excellent ones. Majority of the teacher are postgraduates or of higher qualification. The teachers are very helpful in projects, placement drives, and general lectures.
