Well maintained canteen for students inside college campus

Incompetency of teaching quality. Could be more better
Less placement company exposure and poor placement training
Doesn't have drinking water cooler in each floor

Course Curriculum Overview

This college provides a wide range of courses like btech mtech mca bca. I belong to btech aiml branch. Its a very popular and well known branch and for my luck my hods and faculties of our branch are good enough to guide us through problems and error solvings the only thing that is not up to the point is the placement exposure and training They also don't provide any internship neither they allow attendance relief to a student to do intership anywhere else Semesters are conducted on a very short period of time without completing the courses

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 106000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees per year for me is 1lakh thousand and fees for lateral entry students is 1lakh 18thousand I received a scholarship named medhabruti worth Rs.40000 Placement training fees is something around 10-15 thousand Now in 2024 the tution fees is 1.90lakhs excluding hostel

Campus Life

The annual fest and annual sports meet is conducted somewhat between January to march most probably in the month of February and the fest is good enough to enjoy after a hectic year of academics. The college provides a wide range of clubs for different students interested in different activities like kartavya club, gis club , remote sensing club, aiml club, dance and cultural club, singing and etc. I belong to the gis and remote sensing club and the club has provided me an exposure to many competitive exams and competition and now i got 2nd prize in a competition held in the club. Coming to infrastructure, the campus is good and big but the problem lies in the classrooms ventilation some classrooms feels like hell to sit in summers although it has 5 fans but they don't work well to be cooled down. From a total of 6 blocks only one block has elevator and rest blocks do not have it. Students have to use staircases to go to classes that is on 4th floor of the block

Admission

Trident is a private college and in 2021 it was the only college we could afford. In other hand i had another college silicon institute of technology in my mind but the admission fees was on a higher side. There is no such cutoffs in this college the only thing i know is you have to apper jee mains to apply in this college. Although admission process was easy and smooth but the amount of money they charge and then they fail to provide the same quality of provisions to students

Faculty

Falculty to student ratio is good but they lack the communication that should be there between a faculty and a student to make the students feel comfortable and motivated. However the college needs to improve some faculties and lab assistants who doesn't even know how to run a code Exam system like bput is a curse for students from 2020 because the paper evaluation is not good at all and the college demands ?500 for rechecking and ?200 for re exam

Likes

The environment of KIIT is best for student as their are students from all over India you learn many things other than just your course.
The college life for the students at KIIT is awesome as the architecture of the university is designed for students to explore every possible thing required by any student.
The fest of KIIT is just best the students enjoy those days the most.

Dislikes

As for me their are no flaws that I can say I dislike in KIIT.

Placement Experience:

The placement was quite good. The one who is disciplined and willing to get placed and surely get placed and the total average was around six LPA and the highest package was 53 LPA, which was offered by the atlassian

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

Teaching style of faculty is excellent and related to practical based

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

MY MCA JOURNEY IN TRIDENT ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY, BBSR

Inside Trident Academy of Technology: A Student's Perspective

The admission process was a little bit easy. All we have to do is book a seat their in advance by giving 20k (refundable) or just by applying the counseling. Yes it has reservation benefits. Sc/St can get the seat even if they secured low marks than general. The time gap between one to another semester exam is approximately 4 months. And yes the exams are a little bit difficult as it is being held by BPUT not by our own college. The admission process is already great but one thing is the administrative officers are big manipulators.
