Course Curriculum Overview
I really like stock market and I found my course reassembling towards that.Anyone who wants to be some a economist should definitely join this course.In areas of improvement I think practial knowledge should be focused more than classroom knowledge.Exams are taken in every 3-4 months
Internships Opportunities
I personally did a internship in sarla Birla company which came to our college.Some good companies are coming to the college to offer internships.Some students are getting stipend internship while others are just getting the internship certificate
Placement Experience
Companies don't often come for placements because as we all know that it's a non teachincal degree.My personal plan is to do MBA after my graduation and get into a good college and I am preparing for that.The placement percentage is think only about 10-15 percent
Fees and Financial Aid
My current fees for economics honours is 29000,but the course fees is increasing in nature and the current fees for new comer's is around 35000.Also the students who are of reservation category are given scholarships and around 80 percent of their fees is given back
Campus Life
My overall experience of campus life is average.I like the campus size,it's ambience.There are many good clubs in the college like Rotract,Nss etc.Some students have recently started a new dramatic club named TEAM SHAKTI
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are given in the college.You are Given a bed,fan and study table along with a almirah.The good menu has like non veg for 3 days and veg for 3 days.I talked to one of my friend and he told that the food taste is average to good
Admission
I choose my college Ranchi is my hometown.I also applied to St Joseph college Bangalore and Ramiyah university as well as Jain university and I got selected in all.The only reason why I selected my college was that it was near my home and xaviers is a brand in itself
Faculty
In my department the professors are very highly educated.Like for example one of my professors has studied from London.So the overall faculty are good.Exams are taken internally by the college itself and marking is not very lenant.Students who are good in studies and are hardworking are only able to pass the exam and score good marks.15-20 percent of the students fail in the end sem in each semester
Interview Experience
There was a entrance test for admission in the college of 100 marks in which 75 questions were of MCQ type and a topic of 25 marks was given on which we had to write a essay.The syllabus consisted of 11 and 12th economics topics
