Saurastra University, Rajkot pros and cons.

I chosed this course because it's pretty affordable and it's government college. Its helpful for your further studies and u can get a proper job and also can pursue higher studies there are various government exams like drug inspector or food inspector you can prepare or you can go abroad which is the best option for the doctor of pharmacy. Or You can do MBA after that and also MD specialisation or you can also become clinical pharmacist to treat patients. Though India required lot of improvement in pharama sector and specially in doctor of pharmacy. As compared to other countries about salary and other job aspects. The frequency of exams and difficulty level is good .

You can get job after your degree after 6 years and 4year in D. Pharama and B pharama respectively u can also pursue M pharmacy if you want . Well to be honest the placement is not good here you have to find your own job because the jobe they provide is mostly not acceptable by students because of various factors like salary and other thing. Though gujarat is business hub companies like Tata and other pharmacy companies and also hospital like sterling etc come for placement. the average package is 25000 . About 60% of students placements but mostly they don't accept offer. My plans after my doctor of pharmacy degree of going abroad since they can provide me Better workplace and salary. And also my degree is suitable for that.

Pharmaceutical sciences department in Saurashtra University is consist of 2 building and the hub of various courses like B. Pharmacy, M pharmacy, doctor of pharmacy etc. the fees structure is about 25000 per year or per semester ( Doctor of pharmacy 1 semester= 1year) .The hostel fees is about 1500 of 6month or total 3000 for whole year though the merit list is announced even for hostels based on your marks. The total capacity of of students for D. Pharam is 30. And it's a 6 year course. They also provide hospital visit from 2nd year and also internship in govt hospital. The University also provide scholarship for students who scoredmore then 89% in 12th standard and also various scholarships on the basis of caste and only parent child. The the faculty is very helpful and the environment is peaceful and studious. The library is well maintained and the function and seminars are also organised time to time. I advise you atleast check out the University for one time before your decision

The annual festival in our department is very big and various other functions like navratri,Ganesh chaturthi etc is also organised. Seminars are also held and other colleges seminars regarding our study is also promoted in our organisation. Every classroom have smartboard with Ac. And fully furnished benches . The library is also quite maintained and u can issue books by your I'd card and we don't have to buy our semester books we can issue it from library there is also Central library in our university and also library in hostel with Air conditioner facility. Extracurricular activities like youth festivals and other activities are organised by our department.

Well the room is spacious and tidy there are two warden to maintain every hostel one for night one for day the out time and in time is 7 a m to 7 p.m and there is always a role call and prayer happen in prayer room every evening though the message food is not that good and the washroom is not clean always but it open and greenery area every surrounding. The merit list is issued for new students every year and you have only one chance to get admission here . Although you can live in hostel for temporary basis of you are not native of Rajkot. The total fees of hostel is 3000 every year excluding the message fees. The message provide 2 time email and we can also pack our lunch in tiffin. One meal price is 35 rupies and u have to pay according how many time you have eaten we can also arrange tiffins from outside but outside food is not allowed inside hostel .

As l am medical student I wanted to pursue my higher studies in medical field. This college provide me the thing I was looking for doctor of pharmacy is 6 years course and you become doctor. I got admission there through ACPC portal . I got admission by clearing the exam of GUJCET only exam for pharmacy in gujarat. They release merit list in 3 rounds and l got my admission in 1 round after that you have to submit your 10th,12th marksheet and other documents for admission and also fill up the form of Hostel if you want that.

The faculty as I said is quite helpful and polite they help you in your studies and any other personal problem they also provide mentor for each classroom. The classroom strength is 30 in doctor of pharmacy batch and 60 in B. Pharma . The faculty relation with students is quite good. All the teachers are knowledgeable and there teaching way is good although there will be problem of language for non gujarati but you can ask them to teach you in english or Hindi . The exams are internal and external the external accourbince a year and the internal in every 3 months. The exam is little hard but if u have studied well u can get marks according to your answer.
