What Students Say
Likes
- The college has enough greenery to find shade and sit under that at will.
- The college follows a dress code and that is something which I feel every college should adopt.
- Safety wise it is one of the safest colleges in Greater Noida as security is tight 24/7 and nobody can become or show their goonness inside the campus.
Dislikes
- The college strength is quite high but it doesn't have enough space to accomodate even 30-40% strength at a same place and hence most of our events were held off campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
Job prospects are certainly the best or CSE and therefore after I finished my diploma in Computers, i decider to pursue degree in the same branch itself. Our curriculum prepared us to be available for the industry as soon as our course is done and hence I am currently working as college education was good enough to get me a job at a dream company.
Placement Experience
From international front Amazon, Accenture and Cognizant were the ones who joined hands with GNIOT for placements. From domestic front Wipro and Infosys were the mass recruiters. Almost 60% of the students were placed and on and average the students got an offer letter worth 8-9 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well, the fees is 170k a year and total cost was around 5 lakhs and bit more for three years of my engineering. Yes, since the college is affiliated to AKTU scholarships and all are awarded to SC/ST students and their fees hence is much lower than general students.
Campus Life
Fresher and farewell orientation programs were the main programs of the college. Now since college gave a lot of importance to other curricular activities, two sports fest Zonal and Spardha were organized. We had four canteens at the campus and 2 colossal auditoriums. In terms of cultural fest the two of the biggest events were Fusion and Aagaz.
Admission
Sharda University and other private university in Greater Noida were the ones I was chasing. GNIOT may not be 1st in the list but was right up there. Eligibility is done through a counselling process and those who qualify are the ones who gets admission here. Exams happens twice in every session or semester if I may call it. Both of them has to be given compulsorily.
Faculty
It is difficult to review this part as some of them had other ideas while some has totally different way of teaching. Some came to the class and taught us the purpose and the concept. On the other hand, some of them were like they did it for the sake of doing it.
