What Students Say

Likes

The location and campus of the college is very good.
The infrastructure of the college is good
The security, faculty, labs etc. is also good

Dislikes

The mess food is good but not many options for non veg for only 2 times a week.
The classrooms are good but they can be made modern.
The fees are very high both tution and hostel

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curricullum is average like it does include hands on learning ,interdisciplinary approch but the main issue is that it does not give a lot of practical approach and also not much events and hackathons are conducted.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 340000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees of SIT Pune is 3,40,000 and it increases every year at a rate of 10 percent per year. The hostel fees is 2,50,000 in this security deposit is also included. The fees for international students is comparatively less as most of them come through scolarships and their hostel fees is also very low in comparision.

Campus Life

Reverb is the annual cultural fest and is usually held in the month of october then we have our annual sports fest called prota. Both of this fest usually happen in the month of october. But this being a university we get to enjoy other collge fests too located in the campus like the annual fest of SIBM. The library facilities are good and Wide range of books and journals are available. The classroom is equipped with a large projector and whiteboard but the benches are not good they give school vibes. Lot of sports facilities are available we have a turf, volleyball court,Tennis court Then a multipurpose ground and many indoors facilities like 8 ball pool, squash ,badminton Table tennis etc. is available. Also there are many clubs like Google's student club , codex proggramming club, Foss open source development club,WWR student formula car developer club and many more

Admission

I chose this college over others as firstly the student intake is less secondly its location is very good also the campus is very beautiful than very diverse student intake etc. Even the crowd here is very good. Pune being a tech city gives good placement and internship opportunities.

Faculty

The student to faculty ratio is 20:1 the classroom consists of 80 students. The faculties are good and they are mostly phd holders in their respective field. Professors are knowledgable and they are approchable whenever needed. But the curricullum needs to be improved and it can be made better

My perspective about my college!!

Likes

Such a huge campus and it is located not far from the city so bus and autos are always available.
Our canteens serves Misal Pav which is next level.
For a city like Amravati and a college like ours, having a tech fest is a dream but since 2022, we have been hosting a tech event called Techlons.

Dislikes

Crowd is not that amazing as most students are non-serious over here.

Placement Experience:

TCS trains us in the third year and L&T Infotech and TCS are the ones who hired students. Almost half the students were taken by these two companies with an annual salary of 6 lakhs or so. For a freshers to work in such companies is a privilege and I am glad, we get this opportunity at our college.

A Brief Theory Round Of Aissms College Of Engineering

Likes

The campus is quite big and there are proper laboratories for every subject , also the faculty is quite helpful and helps student to settle up and get along so that the teaching and doubt interaction is built up from the starting
We have metro station right outside the gate of college so the travelling is quite simple
It's also good to have a college stationary right inside the campus and with discount too!

Dislikes

The benches are small which kind off makes the students uncomfortable to sit for more than 2 hours in that space
Canteen hygiene is not maintained at all
There's no underground parking for students and lack of space for parking of two wheelers

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Aissms College Of Engineering in comparison to the other one institute of Information technology. I personally have even saw seniors getting placements when they were in placement round room. And looking at all the boards the college has put up and I can definitely says that the college does get placements and companies do come

Likes

Faculty and teaching assistants are so friendly and are with great experience and wisdom.
Other than education many other activities take place like NCC, NSS, sports competitions, inter IIT competitions, etc.,
Ragging, student and gender abuse are strictly banned

Dislikes

sometimes we have to work till midnight for any tech teams, any assignments, etc., if the submission is not done in proper time. But faculty don't keep any pressure or stress on students to do certain tasks

Placement Experience:

Job placements starts from 3rd year 2 nd semester or 4th year 1st semester. Many Multi National Companies, like Amazon, Google, Sony, etc.,, come to hire students. Almost 70 % of the students get jobs. Atfer completing graduation, few people begin their startups and other businesses with the knowledge gained in the university.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

I have a lot of colleges as COEP, PSIT and even IIIT Pune from where I had confirm admission from. I took a lot of thinking as I even cleared SAT and fom my CET score too, I was qualified for SIT. So, one way or the other one can take admission here by any means. Try for CET though as majority of seats here are alloted through CET scores....Read More

SIT Pune - An Overview.

I chose this college because I have lived in Pune before and it's better than other private colleges. Better how 1. The fees. 2. The facilities provided. Other colleges don't come close. 3. The hostels are also better equipped, water tanks get cleaned weekly, although there is the issue of no network inside hostel and the Wi-Fi they give is HORRIBLE. I didn't go to other colleges because 1. Merit. 2. Bad cities like ghaziabad. 3. Worse packages. Admission was fairly simple here, you'll get an email if you got in, open the link there, finalise your admission, pay the fees and it's done. I got admission in SRM ghaziabad , CS , but ghaziabad is a bad city, all full of gundas and such. Seat in CS in JECRC jaipur, didn't go there because SIT gives better packages. Got 3 more colleges like VIT (electrical), and some local colleges but they were not in main college branch. Got rejected from AIT for low jee mains rank. That's the only college I didn't get in Admission in my college is simple, either by jee mains score , mhcet score or through SITEEE (sit's own exam). For all three, 85%ile and above are electrical, CS, aiml, and RnA. Students prefer jee, but I feel mhcet was much easier. Overall experience, 6/10 (not 8 because the admission incharge is an asshole)...Read More

I also applied to SRM Institute of Technology, VIT( Vellore Institute of Technology). I chose SIT over my other options because of the teacher to student ratio and also because of the location of this college which is in Pune therefore it provides a large number of opportunities since many industries and software companies are based in the same city. The placement rates and average package is also better the many of the colleges of the same tier....Read More
