Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is very nicely established and each subject is taught in the college. The clinical training during the curriculum is also there where you can learn a lot of things. 3 term exams , in which marks of two are taken , difficulty level is medium on an average scale .

Internships Opportunities

4

In BVSc & AH course, internship is there in last year where the student can get much exposure to explore their career options. They get chances to go to nearby places and also out of the state for better understanding and exposure. In internships , the students get the chance for clinical training in Veterinary surgery, gynaecology and medicine . They get the chance to interact different teachers, students and explore their career opportunity.

Fees and Financial Aid

First year - 76500 Second year - 80000 Third year - 85000 Fourth year - 110000 Fifth year - 76650 Distribution of fifth year fees - Tuition fees - 36000 Registration fee - 1000 Medical fee - 650 Laboratory fee - 26000 This is the fees of free seat For paid seats fee distribution per year is about 2 lakhs. Scholarship is available for students with certain conditions Like father income etc ( the fee amount is refunded)

Campus Life

4

Annual fest is not always held but it was held once in a while after contacting with higher faculties. Nehru Library is better. It has variety of books but of old edition . Projector teaching is done in classes for better understanding of some topics. Sports and extracurricular activities are held frequently on different events. Some students' youtube and instagram pages are there which are helpful for the students.

Hostel Facilities

4

Chair , table, bed , almirah are provided to each student. Mess food is okay and better than other place. Breakfast lunch dinner are there . Registration process for hostel is done during admission time . Almost students live in college hostel.

Admission

I have applied one more other college in counselling, I got the other college but by upgradation i got this ,i have chosen this because this is old one so obviously well maintained than the other , but now the other colleges are also nice and worth it to apply. Admission process by two entrance test one by upcatet and neet In upcatet,The top rankers till 150 rank get veterinary BVSc & AH then agriculture then horticulture then community sciences on free seat. By neet , admission are also done by veterinary counselling of India after mbbs counselling at low marks than for mbbs . Candidate must be 17 years old and pcb marks requirement is about 50% .

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is okay , can be better Faculty is nice and are approachable to much extent and every teacher is different from each other ,so cannot be compared. There are 3 term exams and two are taken and last annual exam in every year , but now in semester system pattern can be changed . Few students fail due to their less attendance than 75% and some due to less marks . The course curriculum is relevant to the greater extent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course, i.e. Veterinary Sciences, because I was keenly interested in the research areas in animal biology right from my formative years. I gained inspiration from my father and his colleagues who worked as research scientists at ICAR ( Indian Council of Agricultural Research). The faculty-student ratio is good, everything is according to the rules laid down by the government, as it is a state government institution. All the faculties of our college are doctors and PhD degree holders. The teaching method includes marker-whiteboards, projectors and learning by observation of the specimen. As of now, according to MSVE-2016, the schedule is annual, which includes three internal assessments and one external assessment at the end of each year. The duration of the course is 5.5 years, which includes one year of internship. Since it is a professional course, the subjects are not easy, and a consistent amount of hard work is required to retain the acquired knowledge and pass.
