Likes

Sports Meets are too good to be part of.
Curricular activities are amazing and helps students develop interest in studies
Minimum attendance should be 75 percent to appear in exam.

Dislikes

Canteen food and experience is so poor for me.
You have to take permission of teachers even you don't want to attend the lectures

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachings methods of some teachers is very amazingful to students but in some cases the method seems not to work on some students. As per the course more industrial visits can improve the students to grasp the flavour of industry in which they would work in upcoming time.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

There is a collective placement cell in our college for every department. Mostly the placement drive near about 7th semester. Much limited students are selected for the placements in Private limited companies. 7th semester students are eligible in placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly Fee distribution is as on odd semester we have to pay 55000 per sem. and on even semester we have to pay 65000 per sem. Which make a total of 1.2 Lakhs per Year this includes only college and course fees.

Campus Life

Campus Life is very good. Annual sports meet, curricular activities, every year freshers and farewells, student meet up events, seminars. Good lighting, air condition projectors are provided in every classrooms.

Admission

The admission process is very easy as you must 60 percent and above in 12th grade which is limited to a certain of 50-60 Students per year. I personally doesn't apply in other colleges so there is not a chance of rejection from other colleges.

Faculty

The exams are sufficiently competitive for all the students almost 85-90 percent students may have cleared exam in their 1st attempt. The Faculty members are very helpful to students in every expect. The laboratories of the College are very good and maintained.

Interview Experience

There are no interviews for the admission process there are only test for because you are applying in behalf of your previous studies if you had done non medical they will ask about she will chemistry in mathematics question in a test.

Night Life

Night life is very good around our college campus as there are many good restaurants clubs and markets to visit in night. Good dream is cafeteria are also available near the college on walking distance. Very good atmosphere of college campus.

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Pros of taking Admission in KCET

I chose this college due to its hugh background, khalsa college is one of the oldest colleges in India , other colleges in my area didnt had the course I was looking for, the course Radiology and Imaging Technology was only available in Khalsa college of engineering and technology, Guru Ram Das University of Healthcare sciences and Amritsar Group of colleges, The admission process of our college is very simple, one just needs to go for counseling and then filla form, after that give the admission fees, its that simple....Read More
