Course Curriculum Overview
Dav is said to be best college of commerce in Jalandhar. Teachers teach well but they should also develop our professional knowledge that how can a perticular topic we are studying will help us in future
Placement Experience
Final year student get eligible for placement, companies like wipro , kotak bank ,sbi , mahindra etc have offered placement for students of dav ,the highest placement this year was 7.5 lpa by to two students of bcom and average is 15000-25000 per month . According to em its 50% of students who get placement. My future plans are to go for mba which is not Available in dav or to give some interview and job based test
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise fees of bcom is 43000 excluding university charges, this year University charges were 2200. There is fee concession for sc st categories and also for previous year examination top scorer if u have clear your 12 above 85 percent u are eligible for fee concession i myself got concession of 12000 this year . There are many more scholarship introduced by college like for needy students, only daughter etc
Campus Life
There is youth festival where out college take part which usually help in month of oct- nov ,our college library is said to be oldest library of our zone with large variety of book our collge provides free books for students who can't afford books . I don't remember any sports event held in college but as I'm in ncc air wing if u join ncc u will get all type of activities there .
Admission
I wanted to study outside of city but my family can't afford very high expenses that why i was studying here in Jalandhar and dav is well reputed college and my teachers also suggest just to opt dav as it is known for best college of commerce in Jalandhar
Faculty
Dav Jalandhar is gndu affiliated it help semester wise exams of 100 marks per subject and mid semester before final semester exams which helps students to be prepared beforehand mst usually consist of 50 max marks but this year mst were of 100 marks .level of difficulty is average if u have prepared for exam u can score well
Night Life
I'm not hosteler so I don't know about hostel timing our college has big library and big canteen. The famous hangout places is local shops of juice and beverage just in front of college. i don't think at night roaming outside of college is much safe
