Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choise AIML course because some of my seniors said CSE has been outdated and Ai is overtaking CSE. Lords provides great Curriculum which helps an individual for the hand on practice and applications of real world. Though some courses are relevant for the students, some are not. The teaching method are great by the faculties, they explain in a very easy manner. Timings/duration of the exam will be 180 mins. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship in this college is very good. Some of the companies which provides internship to the student to develop skills and develop to get hand on practice are Hexaware PGET, KNOCIAL INDIA LIMITED and many more. During the 7th semester, student is assigned with mini project and during the 8th semester, student is assigned with major project. The main outcome of the project is to develop individual skills and to get a hand on practice.

Placement Experience

3

From 7th semester onwards, the students can apply for campus placements. There are variety of companies which visited to campus for giving job oppurtunities to students. Some of the name of companies are Talent Cogent, TCS and many more. The highest package offered this year was around 12 lakhs rupees (12,00,000/-) and the average package is around 3 lakhs rupees (3,00,000/-). Approx 50 percent students got placements which was a poor performance. I am looking forward to go abroad for doing masters after my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

I got free seat. Though I need to pay rs 11,000/- for maintainance purpose. The tution fees is rs 93,000/- per year, registration fees is rs 8,500/-, lab fees is rs 2700/-. There is no seperate fees charged for other categories

Campus Life

5

The campus life is great here. Lords college provides a variety of fests happening every now and then. Freshers fest usually happend around december/january every year. There are many technical fest through out the college life. Annual fest happens once in two year. Lords library provides a variety of books where student can have a easy access on the book and there are many journals available in the library. All the classrooms are well-equiped with projector. Each classroom has window for ventilation. Lords campus has football ground, basketball area, volleyball area and many more indoor games. Never the less, lords provides great extracurricular activities to keep the energy level high among the students. There are varities of student run social groups, clubs which really benefits students skills and helps student to get hand on practice.

Admission

I applied for MJCET but unfourtunetly, I could not get a seat over there based on my rank. I kept my first preferance MJCET because most of my seniors suggested me it was a good college. I chose lords than other colleges because some of my senior friends suggested me. The admission process is somewhat lengthy. The students can get admission into the college into two methods; convenor seat and management quota. Student needs to attempt the EAMCET exam and needs to get a minimum rank of 1,65,000 (cutoff) to get into college. If the invidual fails to do so, the student needs to pay donation (management quota) to take admission into college.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:9. The faculty at lords college is very approachable and they are very helpful through out the semester. Some of the faculties I liked is Mr Shaik Mohd Ali sir because he explains in a very crystal clear manner. Some of the faculties I dont liked is python professor because of the lack of teaching. There are two internal test and one semester end examination through out the 1 semester. The difficulty of the paper is moderate. Neither tough nor easy. Approx. 15 students fail to clear the exam per section wise. Some courses are relevant to students while some not.

Night Life

5

The campus provides excellent gym, cafeterias and library. The cafeterias provide a large amount of food on menu. The food court provides fast food, ice creams, juice, milkshakes and many more. Library provides a great ranges of book where students can gain knowledge. The campus timings are 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM The famous hangout spots inside the college is cafeteria and outside the campus is zeeshan hotel. The locality is safe to roam around at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
