SICET Hyderabad Admissions

Sri Indu Institute of Engineering & Technology provides admission to Diploma and Btech courses by dividing the students into A and B categories.

A category students includes first B.Tech and Second B.Tech (Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders, Degree Holders (B.Sc) ).

They constitute about 70% students of the institution and are admitted solely based on ranks obtained through centralised admissions organised by the Government called EAMCET.

However, B category students that constitute the remaining 30% and which comprises Management and NRI students are admitted by the institution itself.

For M.Tech courses, admissions are provided based on ranks obtained in GATE or AP PGCET exams if the candidate has fulfilled the eligibility criteria.

For MBA , admissions are provided based on ranks obtained in AP ICET or if the candidate has secured seats based on marks obtained in the bachelor degree.

Hostels: The institution contains both boys and girls hostels. It offers all the basic facilities including mess halls, bathrooms, badminton court, indoor games, guest rooms, internet/Wi-Fi and so on.
Guest House: A guest house facility is provided for the parents and guardians of the students and is on a nominal rent. It contains all the basic necessities in it for a comfortable stay.
Library: The library which has an area of 800 sq metres, consists of 24,357 with 4982 titles under all branches along with 5000 full text E-journals available from DELNET, J-Gate Engineering & Technology, and Eshodhganga. It is user friendly and is automated with NEWGENLIB Software through Barcode technology with good Wifi facility . It also consists of international journals, competitive books like GATE, TOEFL, GRE, Aptitude, Communication skills, General knowledge, Current affairs and so on.
Digital Library: The E library or Digital Library consists of collections stored in Digital formats which can be accessed as online resources for students and faculty. There are over 30 computers with 20 Mbps Internet speed containing NPTEL video lectures or lectured from MITs, IITs and also E books maintained Calibre E-Book Management software.The kind of E resources available include J-Gate Engineering & Technology-E-Journals, DELNET- E-Journals, NPTEL video Lectures and Multimedia CDs/DVDs.
Lecture halls: All lecture halls of the college are well furnished with proper seating arrangements, air conditioning and sound systems.
Transport: The intuition has got 25 buses that pass through Hyderabad and Secunderabad passing the major points. Only about 50% of students utilise the college facility as public transportation is easily available since its located on the main road of Hyderabad Nagarjuna Sagar Highway.
Canteen: They have got well maintained canteens that follow immense hygiene standards and serve vegetarian food to students. Students need to buy coupons and order foods they desire which will be provided to them during lunch time. They are provided with nutritious food with the Indian Dietary guidelines kept in mind.
Sports: In order to keep the students healthy and fit, indoor and outdoor games have been introduced by the Department of Physical Education at SIIET. Students are provided with highly qualified coaches, a vast playing area of 1,10,000 square feet and indoor sports complexes with wooden flooring. Separate play fields are also provided for boys and girls and sponsorships to elite players. Students are exposed to state and national-level tournaments and individual attention is given to every player through mentoring.
Gyms: The college has got a well equipped gym to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of students.

FAQs

Ques. What is the fee structure for the courses offered by SIIET?

Ans. The fee structure for Btech programs in all branches would be INR 75,000 and Diploma programs would be INR 15,500. The institution shall also charge the admission fee and other charges in the form of mess, library and so on.

Ques. What are the different methods opted by the college to address student grievances?

Ans. This institution has got a Student Counselling Grievances Redressal Cell that solves any disputes among students. This encourages students to experience a professional environment for their personal development and to practice dispute free behaviour throughout their lives. Grievances can be expressed either verbally or through grievance boxes in total confidentiality.

Ques. What is the attendance requirement at SIIET?

Ans. Students will be allowed to give their end semester examinations only if they have secured a minimum attendance percentage of 75% as an aggregate to all the subjects for that semester. A particular fee shall be paid incase of shortage of attendance, however if the attendance obtained is lesser than 65%, no case will be condoned.

Ques. What has SIIET done the area of research?

Ans. The institution has got their very own Research Committee which develops new initiatives to introduce research proposals and also encourages students to get involved in the same. They also arrange research based programs and invite eligible faculties to conduct such programs.
