What Students Say

Likes

Coaching was excellent and understanding.
Allows everyone to learn something new and innovative.
Apart from academic,it also concentrates in identifying the special talents in the students.

Dislikes

It was strict and many norms are to be followed by students
No one can go outside the campus until evening.
Office staff were not in polite and respectful manner.

Course Curriculum Overview

Basically I'm interested in computer based studies since 10th standard. This institute was helpful to achieve my dream. It teaches the real world problems in order to cherish ourselves in future. The college gives some difficult questions si that we can understand the concept easily.

Class Size: 6Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many reputed companies are coming to offer internship to the students in the college.Students were trained from 1st year for placement by teaching the aptitude questions and ethicsto be followed by students during interview

Placement Experience

From 4th semester students are allowed to attend placement. various reputed companies are coming into the college for campus interview. Certain students were placed in good companies with good package

Fees and Financial Aid

This college recieves 90000 for first years(45000 for a semester). The fees for upcoming years slightly decreases. The college offers various scholarships in order to enhance the students studies. Coaching given by this college was excellent. This institute concentrates in every student's studies and their welfare.

Campus Life

The college conducts Ariyasanam ,it was the main function here. The onam andcother functions were very enjoyable and engaging.Library facilities were nice and allow students to explore library at anytime. Campus was big and wonderful with colourful plants and trees

Admission

I've not applied for another college because I have decided the college during my higher secondary. It eligibles the students based on their performance in school and their special talents. Compared to other colleges it was better in coaching.

Faculty

All faculties were friendly, everyone can ask doubts and clear it at anytime. Dr.Rajesh Kumar was a good staff and friendly with everyone. But all staffs were good . For a semester, the college conducts 2 internal exams and a model exam before the semester. The final exam we had to write is the semester exam conducted by the University.

Night Life

Cafeteria was owned by some outside people and offers food in affordable price. Hostel and their food was nice and hygiene.Hostel facilities are better compared to other colleges. hostel was near engineering block

Nit Trichy B.Sc. B.ed. student review

Likes

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
