Remarks

The college has only limited time for studies and extracurricular activities. There are a lot of events happening at our college and other colleges. If we decide to go for all of them our attendance becomes a problem. We need to consider our academy side while going for other events

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is 4 years, 8 semesters, each semester has 6 subjects and after that there is an university exam. In order to attend the exam you need to have above 75% attendance, and 23 mark internal including assignment and 2 series exam.

Placement Experience

There are a lot of placement drives at our college. Since I am third year I am unable to attend placement drives. Only 4th year students can attend placement drives. Speaking about internship there are a lot of internship at our college.There is atleast 2 internship at oru college every month.

College Events

The main evet that happen in our college Tarang. This event is celebrated april 13 in 2019. Also all festivals are celebrated at our college. Onam,christmas, holi every year. The college encourages to celebrate all events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible, according to me, the fee is very low at our college. It's one of the main reason that I joined the college. The college is not imposing any other extra fees. There are a lot of colleges that impose more fees that are not mentioned by the government or university.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college give so many scholarships to us. Our college gives Prs-metit scholarship for the students who are eligible. And also provide government scholarship. To be eligible we need to get high marks.

Campus Life

Our college encourages sports, lab and extracurricular activities. Intercollege and college level sports are conducted every year. Lab is must at our college. Sports are always an important part of our college.

Alumni/Alumna

Three is an alumini network at our college. That's helpful for us to communicate with them to discuss the job opportunities and find out our ways to secure our future. Some days the alumini group visit our college For interacting with us.

Admission

When I got an entrance rank, i went to the college and I enquired about different courses in that college and after that I met the principal and talked about admission and some forms were given to me. I filled that forms and give my certificate there and I was admitted at the college.

Faculty are very good they encourage us always. They are good at teaching. The continuously evaluate us to improve our studies. They are very friendly. They are the most important part of our college.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Faculties are good. Most them are very friendly
Class rooms and canteen are also good. Not the best
Fees are very low comparing to other collages

Dislikes

Not giving good placements. Only 1 or 2 good companies good. Others are average
I'm not interested hostel. But my friends in hostel always saying that the food is not good.
Some faculties are not treat all the students equal. Not every only some

Placement Experience:

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

My dear college

Likes

I liked the atmosphere the college offers and the facilities for studying
The sports facilities are pretty good considering the supplements they have
The library got my attention since it has alot of books and its the centre of attraction of the college

Dislikes

The college doesn't provide any placements and job opportunities
The college doesn't provide any pool options for swimming lessons
Teachers get changed every now and then this makes the continuity of the lessons very hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

The social service got my eyes on this course. The intention of creating the mentality of helping others by social service made me join the course. This course provides a great service towards the betterment of future and people in it.

Programs and activities are good and the support
Good support for the sports and highly skill atheletes

Dislikes

Exams are conducted without a gap in between
There are a lot of assignment often for the students

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.
