Remarks

It's totally dependent on you that you think positive or negative regarding the college. There are many negative things like dirty politics and bad company, but it's only when you involve willingly. Otherwise you get enough time to give on you, it depends how you use it. The workshop of mechanical department is not complete but they take us to University workshop for the remaining experiments.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is same as of other engineering entrance exams, which consists of three sets of questions each from physics chemistry and maths, the questions are large in number but are quite easier than other exams, or you could say that they check the basics of the student through the entrance exams.

Placement Experience

1.5

If we talk about placements, companies do come here in CUSAT but the average salaries of the students placed are 3.5 lakhs per annum and heighest may be 5 or 6 lakhs. Companies do come for internship and induction training programmes also. I didn't get any internship but people from my department got internship cum induction training program at Daikin Air conditioning, which is a high rating internship as they provide only 48 students from all over the country the opportunity to get trained.

College Events

3.5

Almost all the events are well celebrated in our college. An arts and cultural festival is celebrated in our college which is named as Sattva. Tech fest is also held in our college which is named as innovia. Other than this festivals like onam and Saraswati Pooja is also celebrated by the students here. Our college has also got various clubs such as entrepreneureship cell and photography club, which keep on organising events in our college. Our college has also got a strong NSS which takes care of social as well as environmental aspects in and around the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible to an average income family. Most of the middle class tudents are paying fees through education loan here. The fees each semester is around 40k which includes tution, examination and other fees in it.

Fees and Financial Aid

If there are students from very poor background then our college provides students aid fund to them after investigating the real condition of the student. Other than this the toppers of the departments are provided with merit cum scholarship which is around 10k rupees for 1 year.

Campus Life

1.5

Almost all the sports facilities are available here including cricket, badminton, table tennis, basketball, football volleyball. Students can opt the game of their own choice and join the sports club. They will be trained well while playing by the seniors and if they play well, they also get selected for college team. And if they play well from their team then they could also get selected for the University team.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facilities are not provided by the college to the boys students where as the various private hostels are around the college campus which are being in regular check by the college and the college administration takes the responsibility if anything happens there. Separate hostels for girls are provided by the college on Lowe rates. besides this private hostels for girls are also there. Hostels are not too big neither too small, around one boys hostel accommodate 20 to 30 students in it. To mess is arranged by the students only, college takes no responsibility regarding the mess.

Alumni/Alumna

Aluminium network is not too strong but it is building each year. The alumni are really helpful as I got an internship due to the alumni only. The alumni network is spread all over the country as well as outside the country, you may find it out on LinkedIn the students of Cusat.

Admission

You have to apply for common addmission test of CUSAT which releases its form during the month of December or January. The exams are conducted all over the country at various centres in online mode. You have to select a slot according to available date and give the exam. On the basis of scores obtained you will be given a rank and on the basis of that rank counselling will be done for the seats. This is the second campus of cusat for B.Tech students.

Faculty

2.5

The college is situated in the remote area known as pulincunnu in alappuzha but the faculties are selected from the main campus only i.e., they are selected by the University. There are three types of faculties here permanent, temporary or contract and guest faculties. The permanent faculties in each department have sound knowledge in their subjects and they also have good gegrees. The contract and guest faculties are selected on the basis of their knowledge through exams and interview that's why they ahve also good knowledge in their subjects but they tend to change on short periods. A feedback form is also filled by the students each semester regarding the facilities. Overall the educational environment of college is good with efficient faculties.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
