JG University Ahmedabad, B.Tech, Information Technology

Reviewed on Jan 4, 2025(Enrolled 2024)

Remarks

I tried in many govt colleges but my marks were low and also i belong to general category so it was just impossible to get into govt colleges. I saw this college online and got review by some students so i decided to take admission in this college

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very thoroughly designed to enhance your skills. This course is of iit level. This course alone is helpful in you to get a decent internship or jobs in industry without any other courses

Class Size: 85Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are several companies which have tie up with our college as we see their boards and logos in our campus. They are companies like hcl, accenture, wipro, ibf and several more. Also there are workshops for internships and holidays are given.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee is 80,000 i.e 40,000 per sem Tution fees is 75,000 per year i.e 35000 per sem I belong to general category so i did not get any benefit of scholarship Yes the course is affordable at this price as they provide internship training too

Campus Life

My college has only one ground in the name of the campus which is shared by a cbse school which i think is a negative point for the college. But in terms of fest the college is best. There are so many different kinds of days

Faculty

There are 7 to 8 faculties, most of them are iit graduates and the knowledge they have is excellent. Also some faculty lack of teaching skills but the overall faculty experience is good. They provide a good knowledge to enhance skills

Night Life

Don't think so that nightlife Is good. Means the college is in the day and in night it rarely works. So there is no nightlife in the college. As we study in day the daylife we can not tell about night life

PDEU , a Sweet n' Sour experience

Likes

The campus is really well built and has good classrooms with air conditioners in every class ensuring student comfort.in
Decent facilities for extra curricular activities like sports and metro connectivity as well.

Dislikes

Same old rigid curriculum that is still being taught in Tier 3 engineering colleges through out the country
Some of the faculty even though they may be knowledgeable themselves, fail to deliver their thoughts in an efficient way to the students
Attendance criteria is relatively strict at around 80% on paper but you can still do with 70+ percentage.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th Semester and companies start visiting at that time. The no. of companies that visit are around 30+ and the highest package offered last time was around 25+ LPA. The average package is 7-8LPA. Some of the companies that visit are Accenture,TCS, Infosys, JP Morgan(students got placed from a Hackathon)

The parul university review

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,
