Likes

Teachers teach well most of the time and faculty has a background of filmmaking and working in the industry
we are taught everything from fundamentals to software
campus is good and well equipped for every basic needs

Dislikes

Computer labs dont have the best configuration in terms of pcs which is required
Teachers sometimes hold grudges on students
Attendance is a big issue in this college with minimum attendance needed 80%

Course Curriculum Overview

i personally was more keen into doing vfx and that does not start until the 4th semester. The circulum is properly set but somedays are bigger and we dont get enough rest because of it. Assignments are many and only join if you can work that much

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

yearly fees for this course is 150000 and it is for four years. You dont have to pay for other things except field trips or extra activities. You do have to buy a good high end laptop for this course which takes minimum 1 lakh

Campus Life

College has many activities you can do it has a table tennis court a carrom board chess board as well as a gym. the college has several cafeterias so food is affordable and accessible to everyone. College has friends staff aswell which helps whenever needed. our college has a student council and i am one of the subheads in it.

Admission

I only applied to this college as other ones were too expensive and out of my budget. Mainly i picked nmims bevause its closer to where i live and its easier to go there and stay close to my familu aswell.

Faculty

Our faculty are good in their own aspects. We have faculty who had worked for Animated movies like hanuman and disney etc some faculty arent good in terms of teaching so that needs to be worked upon. there are 5/7 faculty in total and perfect amount as there are only 30 students.

Night Life

there's a beach near to college so most students go there to chill aftwe an exhausting day. there are several cafes aswell so people do visit it. there are several gaming areas so usually people go there after college to play video game

The dream college and might be yours too!

Likes

The facualty are so good and they teaches us very well.
Students and surrounding are also engaging.
The infrastructure was good and the canteen food is amazing.

Dislikes

Sometimes teachers dont come to class once in month.
There were always rush about something happens in college
The portal sometimes did not work properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course experience of mine is very good..there are several topics and many lectures. The teacher teaches in both hindi and english language.Everyone and everything is good espacially thr subject of my course.

Faculties are Experienced . They are industry experienced
Decent Infrastructure.Not satisfactory , but the labs and classrooms works well
Seniors are very supportive and helpful . Also the hostel is decent

Dislikes

Very disappointing performance from the University.Lectures happen very very less.Faculty is very lazy . Also some teachers do not have the quality of teaching.
Infrastructure is very very disappointing. Gym of the college is not useable . Water leakage everywhere.Not proper Roofing at many places
Sports equipment are also not good . Not proper maintenance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced to take this college because rating of this college on internet was very good.The curriculum they mentioned is very good , like they have mentioned they'll teach sketching , Pixel art . But the harsh truth is that no body is ready to take lectures , which is the biggest concern. The curriculum is good i would suggest the college to apply the curriculum Yearly there are 2 examination, which are not very hard

Likes

Experienced faculty with actual industry experience
Amazing computer labs with extremely high end computing devices.
Books related to design are avilable in the library.

Dislikes

Small classrooms, with small desks which makes it hard to do sketching and drawing.
Small campus, just a building, the lectures happen in mithibai building and the computer lab lectures in glass building
The admission team can be annoying at times and refuse to help you out.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are really really good, with the highest package of 20lpa and avg of 10lpa , the college stands with some of the top design schools in India. They have tie ups with big companies lole deliotte, axis bank etc and provide amazing placements through them. From my experience and talking to seniors, the college has 100% placement record and i feel they would continue to have it.

I like animation and vfx course here bcz every clg they dont have this course so
I like some of the faculty there bcz they are too friendly
Sometimes it feels like home bcz no strict rules here

Dislikes

They dont teach everything on the syllabus thay make more timepass
They dont provide related software for free
They dont provide laptop fees is higher ao i dont like this

I love this course bcz i love to explore new softwares and yes here they are teaching the basic level and i love vfx and animation in this course everything is available so you can gain so much knowlegde

Huge fee structure did not justify the course materials that were provided

SOD - a creative universe

NMIMS unversity design's programme eligibility criteria includes passing 12th grade with specified minimum aggregate score. a stanout feature is the portfolio submission of the artwork the students has done. The students can find the admission form on the official college websites and about the fees structure also.
