Course Curriculum Overview

4

To be frank I chose this course as i wanted to get into medical field but mbbs and bds seemed hard so i went for bsc nursing, which now i realize is no any easier than the two. The curriculum is effective and i can vouch for it but teaching methods could be have been better. Curriculum prepares you for the real world experience with more than 600-800 of clinical experience each year along with specialty exposure. The exam can be difficult but can be cracked if you understand the pattern.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship is provided by our own college at our parent hospital with no stipend. The internship project is for 6 months of the last semester. This is to provide a better experience in the field. This is new project after the course was converted from yearly course to a semester course.

Placement Experience

4

Only after finishing the course you are eligible for the campus selection. The hospital are amritha hospital, Ernakulam and some hospital from pune which i do not remember the name of, offer made are around 2-3 each year. The highest package is 20-25k and the job are early professional profiles. About 90% student get placement if the want it but most do not take these placements as the have other plans like working in other states or going for language proficiency tests. I plan not to take the placement as i want to go to a different state, then try anything abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

I wanted to select this college as this one was near my locality. I paid around 95000rs for the first year of my course, but it may have changed as i got admission in the 2020. The caution fee was 10000 which will be returned after the course. I got admission via PNCMAK which is management seat admission via merit. Govt seat does not have the same fee structure, please inquiry about these information before hand. There are various scholarship awarded to students of BPL and OBC and SC/ST. When i got admission the i didn't give any donations but when i inquired with my juniors they were asked for donations which varied.

Campus Life

3

There is one or two workshops which not at all like fest. The library is very old only magazine related to nursing are renewed once a year. All classes are equipped with but only some of th work if they work. The CPU used are very outdated. There is Student Nurses Association unit in the college and college election's are also held yearly.

Admission

I choose this college as this was near my locality and one of my relative voched for this collge being good. Well its also true that i got rejected from 7 out of 10 college's i set as my preference as my 88% was not enough score. I could have got into any one of them but i just happened to select this college. The eligibility exam for this course are PNCMAK ,LBS and i do not know of another i think there is one for Christan missionary. Cut has drastically increase due the new found demand for this course so i would say 90% above could be the set bar.

Faculty

4

There are about 29 faculties and 300 students in the college. The faculties are very approachable and most are empathetic towards the students, the faculties have their pros and cons. Yearly you have to write 3 sectional exam 1 model exam and a plethora of class tests and finally you attend the sem exams. This college as i said before pass percentage is very high infact there are semester where none have failed.

Night Life

2

To be fair i do not know of any nursing college that have night life in the college as this is a professional course. There is no gym, no cafeteria in the college the college closes at 4:30 pm. Hostels up until few years did not allow for use of phone but that has been lifted. The students are allowed to go outside only on Sundays and return by 6 pm. College starts from 8 am to 4pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it have a 100% job chance and also it's a medical profession,so it's scope doesn't lose Curriculum is relevant and it's really helpful for our real world applications and as we know it have a more practical approach than theoretical because it's a nursing profession. Course curriculum is very hard like we have a lot of assignments for writing,we get mentally ill after this course, we got no time for mental relaxation I feel like drop the course Teaching methods used in college are ppt presentation and real approaches because it's a nursing profession Theory class we get completed in 2 mouths , the whole syllabus will get completed like a bullet train and the next 3 mouth gonna be practical/clinical study Even in clinics the hardest is assignments, around 450 pages in clinics and 150 pages in theory Overall 600 page assignment is written in one semester Two Internal Exams are conducted within 2 months
