Likes
- The college is situated in mangalore which is a well known hub for medical studies therefore hence giving a good exposure to patients. It is located near the national highway, which makes the travelling convenient to both mangalore and manipal.
- There are further many departments including post graduation available. Hence further studies can be continued. There are students from every different places, helping the students to get convenient with the new habitat.
- The faculties, machines and techniques are top notch and improved, hence adjusting and learning more bout modern dentistry. The college provides postings in every department, which helps with patient handling and better experience.
Dislikes
- The climate in mangalore may not be very friendly for foreign students. The summers are really hot and sunny and there can be scarcity of water for weeks in the summer. And the monsoons stretch with heavy rains throughout the month.
- The classes are scheduled from 8 in morning to 4 at evening. This could be tiresome for students. Classea are conducted even on saturdays of the week.
- The hostels are mostly 4 sharing and 3 sharing rooms.
Course Curriculum Overview
Dentistry included medicine and art, which is the aole reason to interest many students into the course. And its a very female friendly career. The work timjngs are mostly timed between 9 to 5, hence excluding night shifts. This is safe for the workers. The college provides postings in every department of the dentistry, which helps in better understanding of the course and helps to choose our masters. Proper machines and products are provided by the college, included in the tution fee. Tests and internal assessments are conducted in every 3 months, which helps to recollect and memorise better and preps the student for the annual exams. The topics are discussed vast and deep.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is done in the college mostly. There is no fees foe the internship period. But the college provides stipend to the interns on a monthly basis. Internships can be also done other than from the college. We have options to opt for various hospitals around the country. Graduation is conducted after the 4th year, which makes u a certified dental doctor. Internship can be done around the world with a certified certificate claiming your degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for bachelors in dentistry in srinivas institute is 16Lakhs per annum for 4 consecutive years under management seat. It is paid in the form of 4lakhs per year for 4 years. It includes only the tution fee. Hostel, accommodation, exams fees and dental supplements are excluded in this. Students of SC/ST classes have a reduced fee scheme. The fee structure stretches between 9Lakhs to 16 Lakhs for the entire course duration, depending upon your marks and caste.
Campus Life
The campus life is great with great number of students. There is inter department fests, and university festivals. There are inter college fests and competitions with the reat of dental college. The college provides every material for reference in the library. We have the basic textbooks to handbooks, dental research books, magazines, and many doctor books. The sports are held in the first months of the year. There is inter college matches and also competitions with various other colleges at district levels. College has various student run groups and clubs namely for literature, sports, arts, culturals, magazines etc. There is also councellors provided for any help. There are anti ragging groups to maintain the peace of the college.
Admission
Srinivas institute is preferred over other colleges providing dentistry, as it is affiliated to rajhiv gandi university, one of the best universities of india. It helps in referral to various hospitals and easy job placements. The certificate value is certainly high, even when applied in foreign places. The colelge is situated in mangalore, a medical hub, it gives high exposure to patient handling as the prace is often preferred for any medical treatments. The climical rotations are great. Admission in srinivas is done firstly via applying to kea exam, which is the eligibility exam for entrance in any karnataka university. The marks and orevious academic history of the candidate is refered and called for GD.
Faculty
The faculties and teaching methods are topnotch in the college. The classea are mostly taken in visuals forms with some resentations and demonstrations. There are interactive sessions like debates, patient handling, seminars which help the students to understand the topics much better. Dentistry in rguhs have annual exams covering the entire topics of the year. Internals are conducted thrice in a year, which adds up to the final marks in the annuals. Practical classes and theory classes are held daily which gives a proper understanding bout the career.
Interview Experience
My interview was conducted along with my agent amd family, who helped with my admission here. They explain us about the college rules, the fee structure, the prohibits of the college. No further discussion on the academics are done. Students have to give a written test, on the basis of the syllabus. Clearing the test is mandatory for admission in the college. Night Life
Life outside the campus is very interesting. The campus is located on the highway. The NIT of karanataka/ national institute of technology Karnataka is situated jus beside the college. Henceforth, the place is crowded with students. There is a beach located jus opposite to the college. Beach fests are conducted in summers of the year. Many affordable staycations and pg are available hear around. Hence accommodation is easily found. There are every religious places nearby. Mosques churches temples dhargas etc are found nearby. Every campus of the college has canteens and stalls with break lunch and snack options. Student can whenever have food from there.
