Admission

When deciding on a college, I considered several factors, including academic reputation, faculty expertise, campus environment, career opportunities, and financial aspects. After thorough research and comparing my options, I choose because: 1. Academic Excellence – The curriculum aligns well with my career goals and offers [specific programs, research opportunities, or unique courses]. 2. Faculty & Resources – The experienced faculty and access to cutting-edge facilities made it a strong choice. 3. Campus Life & Culture – The vibrant student community, extracurricular activities, and networking opportunities stood out. 4. Placement & Internships – Strong industry connections and placement statistics reassured me of good career prospects. 5. Financial Considerations – Scholarships, tuition fees, and overall affordability also played a role in my decision.

Faculty

4

The relationship between faculty and student is good...they help students in different ways regarding any subject or project Munish kainth was my favourite faculty,he was our fluid mechanics teacher There are 2mst in every semester

Interview Experience

3

No group discussion or interview in been taken for my admission just a simple written test have to give and student must possess all previous original documents during the time of admission otherwise admission will not be done

Night Life

4

Yes..night life was restricted upto a particular time because hostel doors are close after 9pm and students can hangout outside after the college schedule is being completed, but they must report at hostel before 9pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
