- Campus is located in city, close to markets and restaurant. Almost all daily requirements are available close to campus.
- Affordable education and living, not expensive, no hidden charges
- Faculty is good, use ppts and boards for teaching. Practical classes give individual attention to each student
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is very old and shabby, new building are being built but old is getting older
- Extracurricular activities are not conducted as promised
- Administrative staff is not very student friendly.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is designed for real word applications, there are seminars, self directed learning sessions and atcom sessions which prepare students for real world problems. Older teaching methods like chalk and board are much better than presentations, presentation teaching should be avoided. Some department conduct test monthly which is good method of preparing students for final exam while some department only conduct the exams which are in curriculum like terminals.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is a curriculum for medical professional so it is available in our college. Stipend is around 12000 per month which is to be increased as per Government order. Students can participate in research programs with various departments.
Fees and Financial Aid
At the time of admission, 10k is submitted as security fee along with 26k tuition fee for general category. 18k is the tuition fee for sc/st. From second year onwards, only tuition fee is submitted. Hostel fee is 6k per year including water, electricity. Message fee is around 2-3k. Government scholarship are available.
Campus Life
Annual festival called stimulus is a very fascinating event which attracts students from various other medical colleges also. There is a very popular cricket event conducted annually called smct in which students party separate batch wise. Many other events are held on special occasions like festivals of Diwali, Saraswati Puja, Dandiya night etc. library is available in each department and a central library is also available with seating of 250 for UG students and 50 seats arrangement for PG students. All sorts of book are available in library. There is an academic club known as metabetz which organise various events like quiz, poster competitions and annual academic conference called Mednova which attract students from other colleges.
Admission
I got selected for gsvm but I choose llrm as it is situated in city and near my home. It is the best college in western up. The best college I could get at my rank was gsvm Kanpur but due to various factors like poor hostel life and ragging in medical field made me choose this college as my home is in Meerut. Other factors included the faculty which I heard is good and patient load which made me choose this college
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio depends on the department some department have a good faculty and some have very few. Anatomy faculty is very strict but supportive. physiology faculty is also good biochemistry department departmenthas only two faculty members. 2nd year faculty is also good and supportive. Internal exams are difficult but final proff exam are moderate in difficulty.
Night Life
Gym are available in boys hostel and open gym in girls hostel cafes are nearby. library is open 24 hours. hostel timings are flexible there are many famous hangout places outside college like markets, various restaurants, malls, clubs and cafes. Roaming around at night is not safe for girls so most girls avoid it.
