Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was based on Kerala University engineering structure. Now it is Kerala technological University. college conduct at least 2 series exam per semester. They also give assignments and mini projects. The marks obtained will be considered for continues assessment so it is important to score in these exams and submit the assignments on time

Placement Experience

2.5

From this year onwards more IT companies visited the college.About hundred students got placement in different IT companies.Placemnts is less for mechanical and civil graduates.

College Events

3.5

Before the entry of Kerala technological University ,there was lot of cultural and sports events in college.KTU has some restrictions in such programmes. Anyway college regularly conduct annual sports meet, baselion fest, techfests etc.The most important event is crossroads which is a 3 day event. These 3three days are unforgettable for every baselian.Normally it occurs during March / april

Fee Structure And Facilities

As this is a private college the fee structure is much higher compared to government colleges. But the college will provide scholarship for eligible students. The engineering education in Kerala is much expensive.so you have to choose a good college. This college is one of the best in Kerala. So the money paying is worth. The fee is RS 50000 per year(for both management and govt quot). For NRI students fee is 1 lakh per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college will provide scholarship for eligible students. They also give management scholarship apart from govt prescibed. The management also helps in Getting loan from banks. The give fee reduction to financially backward students.

Campus Life

The college conducts techfests for each departments regularly.some of them are inter collegiate fests. All are good. Also there is a annual sports events conducted regularly. But the participants is less

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a better alumini network. It has chapters in middle East and outside Kerala. The aluminies are welcomed on college day every year. Also the management conduct alumini meet on special days.

Admission

First of all you have to write the keala engineering entrance exam.you should attain a minimum of 10 mark in entrance exam in order to qualify the exam. Then they will publish rank and last rank details of colleges.so you can check your chances of getting expected colleges.I have got a rank of 15417.After 3rd allotment I have got admission in this college. We have to provide all certificate during admission process.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are always helpful to us. They will guide for our projects, assignments etc.If you have any doughts you can clear it from classroom or from staffrooms.you can ask any study related doughts at college time. The faculties are willing to take gate classes if you are interested.

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

But I regret taking admission for engineering in this particular college for a number of reasons. Admission process for mar baselios is fairly simple. I had applied for saitgaits, amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking. Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi, there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels. I was rejected in cet for cs dept as i didnt aquire the required rank..i was accepted in both others but decided to join mbcet due to its status in society. The admission process is purely based on keam rank.keam and jee are accepted..the cut off marks for cs dept was 9000 in 2023.the admission experience is very easy and structured properly...Read More
